Marbled Wagyu beef shabu-shabu! A popular restaurant where you can enjoy lunch and dinner (Tamagawa-cho, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce a restaurant that opened in June 2024 in Tamagawacho, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City, where you can enjoy shabu-shabu and sukiyaki made with high-quality marbled Wagyu beef.
A hideaway! Shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant "Fukuten" (Tamagawa-cho, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
Fukuten is located on the first floor of Tamagawa Apartment, about a 7-minute walk from the north exit of Nishitetsu Takamiya Station.
Located in a residential area, it has a hideaway-like atmosphere. Its elegant and stately Japanese exterior is a sure mark of its reputation.
Enter through the back door.
The restaurant (18 seats in total) has tables that seat 2 to 10 people as well as sunken kotatsu seats, and a nice touch is that all the seats are semi-private, with blinds hanging between the tables.
I was able to relax without worrying about the people around me.
By the way, it seems that you can also discuss renting the place exclusively (check with the restaurant for details).
Orders accepted until 3pm! Lunch menu starting from 860 yen
The lunch menu can be ordered from 11:30 to 15:00 on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
In addition to the signature dishes "Shabu-shabu x Leek Shabu" (from 1,900 yen per portion) and "Sukiyaki" (from 3,500 yen per portion), there is a wide variety of other dishes such as "Fukuten Wagyu Hamburger" (1,200 yen), "Wagyu Tail Curry" (900 yen), and "Fukuten Fried Chicken Lunch" (880 yen).
They also have a "Daily Lunch" (860 yen) where you can enjoy Fukuten's signature dishes, so if you live nearby you'll want to come here every day!
This time I ordered the "Shabu-shabu x Green Onion Shabu" and "Charmiton" (1,900 yen per portion)!
"Chamiton" is a brand of pork from Kagoshima that is popular for its rich flavor and little odor.
In addition to "Chamiton", you can choose from "Domestic Wagyu Beef" (3,500 yen per portion) or "A5 Saga Beef x Kurobuta Pork" (3,900 yen per portion).
I was surprised when the meat was brought out, beautifully presented like a sashimi platter (and a super luxurious one at that!) I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow!"
The meat was carefully arranged, and the vegetables were cut into decorative pieces, making for a gorgeous appearance. Although the price was a bit of a treat for lunch, the meal was so luxurious and extravagant that even before eating, I felt that the quality was worth more than the price.
The hot pot is based on a stock made from kelp and salmon flakes. It is divided into two sections, one of which is filled with plenty of spring onions! When you eat it wrapped in Chamiton, the taste of the spring onions that have absorbed the flavor of the stock, and the natural sweetness and flavor of the meat, fill your mouth♪
You can choose three sauces from a total of six options: "Dipping broth (Japanese/Western)", "Sesame sauce (strong/light)", and "Ponzu (plain/black vinegar/yuzu)" (one of each type). *The photo shows all the types prepared for this interview.
My favorite was the "Black Vinegar Yuzu"!
The mellow and refreshingly sour ponzu sauce has a strong black vinegar flavor, and the strong aroma and flavor of yuzu stands out. It really brings out the flavor of the meat.
We also ordered the especially popular lunch menu item, "Exquisite Beef Mabushi" (2,300 yen).
Made with carefully selected high-quality Japanese Black Beef.
It can be enjoyed in three different ways: by pouring it over a yakiniku sauce made from a blend of garlic, grated onion, and veal stock, by pouring homemade "kaeshi" sauce that brings out the richness and flavor, or by pouring over a combination of broth made from oxtail and grilled flying fish with a refined aroma and gentle flavor.
The meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The rich, slightly spicy yakiniku sauce was delicious and I couldn't stop eating it.
When pouring the combined dashi stock over the rice, serve it in a rice bowl and enjoy it like dashi chazuke.
It was a very delicious and luxurious lunch time!
Great for banquets such as year-end parties, New Year parties, farewell parties, and girls' parties! Choose from a variety of courses to suit the occasion
After 3:00pm the "dinner menu" is available.
In addition to single-item hot pots (shabu-shabu and sukiyaki), steaks, lava-grilled dishes, and special dishes using homemade broth,
We offer a variety of courses to choose from depending on your needs.
Among them, the one recommended for special occasions is the "Kiwame" course (5,500 yen per person).
You can enjoy A5 rank Saga beef and Kagoshima's proud "Rokuhaku Kurobuta pork" in a two-color hotpot of leeks and hotpot, as well as a total of nine dishes including three a la carte dishes, two types of salad, fried food, a final dish (udon or porridge), and dessert. You can also add 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink for an additional 1,500 yen. Perfect for the upcoming "party season"!
Fukuten can be used for a variety of occasions, such as lunch, girls' gatherings, and year-end parties. Please come and visit us. (Text by Hakata Aya.)
