[New store in Tenjin area] Open until 11pm! Korean-style cafe with cute sweets (Fukuoka city)
Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who posts gourmet information on Instagram, mainly about cafes in Fukuoka.
This time, I would like to introduce a cafe that opened in the Tenjin area on July 15, 2024.
Opened in July and already a hot topic! Korean-style cafe with a pop atmosphere "WHAT'S UP?" (Kego, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
WHAT'S UP? is a cafe located along Kokutai Road, about a 10-minute walk from the south exit of Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. It's near CAITAC SQUARE GARDEN.
Both eat-in and take-out are available, and if you eat-in, you are required to buy one drink.
The interior of the restaurant has a pop and bright atmosphere with yellow tables and yellow walls.
There are three round tables surrounded by benches.
All the goods on display are yellow, and looking at them makes me feel happy♪
A variety of cute sweets
The most popular items at this shop are their cute sweets.
Cookies, pound cakes, and other items are sold for 300 to 450 yen.
They were all so cute that it was hard to decide which to order, but I'll introduce the most popular sweets and the ones that caught my eye♪
Mochi Ice Cream
First up is "Mochi Ice Cream" (600 yen).
It comes with two types of ice cream, large and small, and you can choose from vanilla, strawberry, matcha, chocolate, and brown sugar.
I got the large one in vanilla flavor and the small one in strawberry flavor.
The mochi ice cream is topped with a bicycle-shaped cookie.
The ice cream is wrapped in chewy gyuhi!
The sweet ice cream, gyuhi rice cake, and cookies eaten in between were a satisfying combination that will definitely become addictive once you try it!
Brownie Chunk Cookies
The super cute "Brownie Chunk Cookies" (450 yen) with faces drawn on them are a must-buy ♡
Enjoy the moist texture and rich chocolate flavor.
It will look even cuter if you place it on top of a drink.
Ribbon Cookies
Cute "Ribbon Cookies" (300 yen) in the shape of a pink ribbon.
You can enjoy the crispy texture and the sweet and sour taste of raspberries.
It's also cute when placed next to the "Brownie Chunk Cookies" that we introduced earlier.
A wide variety of drinks available
The drink menu has 12 options, including "Coffee" (550 yen) and "Blue Hawaii Float" (700 yen), and I ordered "Lemon Soda" (650 yen).
The carbonation was a little strong, making it a refreshing drink.
"WHAT'S UP?" is a cafe where you can enjoy cute sweets in a pop atmosphere. It's open until 11pm, so you can also use it as a night cafe. Please come and visit us. (Text by Hicho_cafe)
