[New Fukuoka Cafe] A creative combination! A shaved ice and baked goods shop worth the trip
Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who posts gourmet information on Instagram, mainly about cafes in Fukuoka.
This time, we will introduce a cafe that opened on August 8, 2024 in Jinshoji, Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City.
MISO, a small cafe where you can enjoy shaved ice and baked goods (Shinshoji, Jonan Ward, Fukuoka City)
MISO is located about a 3-minute walk from the Nishitetsu bus stop Nagao 5-chome. It is located along Prefectural Route 557, one block west of the Aburayama Tourist Road.
This is a corner of "FOUR SHARE SHINSYOJI.", an old-style shared tenancy that houses five charming shops. It was actually created by renovating a garage! It is a cafe where you can enjoy shaved ice and baked goods.
The shop's landmark is a noren curtain with pink lettering on a grey background.
There are six eat-in seats inside the store.
The space is impersonal and stylish, making it easy to visit even alone.
Unique combinations on the menu! Original shaved ice you can enjoy all year round
Their signature dish, shaved ice, can be enjoyed all year round.
They plan to change the types depending on the season, but when I visited there were four types on sale.
This time I ordered the "Peach Earl Grey" shaved ice (1,600 yen).
From the counter seats, you can see the process of making shaved ice, which is exciting.
Not only is it covered in Earl Grey syrup on the outside, but on the inside too.
It is finished off with a generous drizzle of peach syrup with a hint of ginger.
On top is yogurt cream and peach compote.
Here is the finished shaved ice!
Peaches and tea are a perfect combination!
It's also filled with plenty of peach compote and mascarpone cream, so you'll never get bored of it.
Combined with the refreshing yogurt cream, the overall sweetness is subtly adult-like. It's a very filling cake, but you'll finish it in no time. It was a very satisfying dish.
Other flavors include "Pine Coconut" (1,600 yen) and the "Tomato Yogurt" (1,300 yen) pictured below.
The lineup included "Corn" (1,500 yen).
This is a rare combination that you won't see very often anywhere else, so be sure to check it out!
The end date for both items has not yet been decided, so please check the store's Instagram for details.
Take-out sweets too!
Baked scones are also available for take-out.
On this day, there were four flavors available: "Plain" (300 yen), "Earl Grey and Lemon" (350 yen), "Cocoa Chocolate" (350 yen), and "Pizza" (350 yen).
They also plan to change the types of products on sale depending on the season.
All of them looked delicious, but I chose two flavors to take out: "Earl Grey and Lemon" and "Cocoa Chocolate" ♪
"Earl Grey and Lemon" allows you to enjoy the refreshing taste of lemon and the aroma of black tea.
"Cocoa Choco" is filled with large chunks of chocolate and has a rich, sweet chocolate flavor that is delicious.
When ordering takeout, they will put it in a stylish bag, so it's sure to be a welcome gift♪
MISO is a restaurant where you can enjoy both eat-in and take-out.
There are only a few seats available and reservations are required, so if you are interested, please make a reservation first. (Text by Hicho Cafe)
