This boom started in Korea, but recently it has become more common to see it in stores in Fukuoka, and specialized stores have even opened, so it feels like the wave is coming.

This time, we will introduce a popular cafe in Yakuin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, which has introduced "Greek yogurt" as a new menu item.　

Just a 5-minute walk from Yakuin Station! "MASTARS CAFE Yakuin Branch" (Watanabedori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) has an open space

MASTARS CAFE Yakuin Branch is located about 5 minutes walk from Yakuin Station on the Nishitetsu and Nanakuma subway lines, heading towards Watanabedori. It's located along the main street of the Jonan line, so you won't get lost.

The interior of the store is spacious, with natural light pouring in through the large windows, creating a bright and open space.

There are sofa seats, counter seats, and table seats, so you can use it for a variety of occasions, whether you're relaxing alone or having a fun time with a group.

There are power outlets at the counter seats and free Wi-Fi is also available, so it seems like a good place to do some light work.

Another noteworthy point is that the back of the store is a smoking area, which is clearly separated by a glass partition, so both smokers and non-smokers can enjoy their time here in comfort.

New! Greek yogurt, very popular in Korea

The now very popular "Greek Yogurt" was introduced as a new menu item in June 2024! It is what is known as "strained yogurt," so it has less water and a richer taste than regular yogurt. It is also high in protein, making it a "new sweet."

There are four different varieties to choose from: "Fruit Greek Yogurt" (1,100 yen), "Caramel Greek Yogurt" (1,100 yen), "Greek Yogurt Brulee" (1,100 yen), and the savory "Prosciutto & Avocado Greek Yogurt" (1,100 yen).

This time I chose the "Fruit Greek Yogurt"! It's packed with fruits such as berries, bananas, kiwis, and oranges, and is served with honey drizzled on top.

The rich and creamy Greek yogurt has just the right amount of sourness and is a perfect match with the fresh fruit! The natural sweetness of the honey brings the whole thing together nicely, making it a very satisfying dessert that you can eat without feeling guilty.
