Bold treats using chunks of peaches ♡ [Lawson] 4 new "peach sweets"
Hello. I love finding tasty sweets at convenience stores! I'm Maruchin, a writer here.
It's peach season!
Lawson will be releasing four new peach sweets on July 30, 2024. Just looking at the lineup, from Western to Japanese sweets, is enough to get you excited! Let's introduce them to you right away.
1: Amazingly cheap at just 319 yen! "A chunky 1/2 peach tart"
First off, here's something that looks really impressive! "Chunky 1/2 Peach Tart" (319 yen).
As the name suggests, this tart is boldly topped with half a peach.
I've seen these kinds of peach sweets in cafes and cake shops, but I never imagined they'd be available at a convenience store! And for only 319 yen!? I was shocked.
When you eat it, the peach is juicy and delicious! The tart crust is also peach flavored. It has a crispy texture with a hint of butter flavor, and it crumbles easily in your mouth.
It goes well with the white peach sauce and whipped cream sandwiched between the pieces!
It's full of peaches and has a luxurious feel, so it would make a great little treat ♡
2: It's so full of ingredients...! "Chunky Peach Omelette"
Next up is the "Chunky Peach Omelette" (329 yen).
It was my first time seeing an omelette topped with such large chunks of peaches, and I was surprised...! What's more, it looks juicy and fresh!
When you take a bite, the taste of plump and juicy peach fills your mouth. The fluffy texture of the omelette batter is also irresistible!
Sandwiched between the peach and the dough is peach-flavored whipped cheesecake and the same white peach sauce with fruit pulp as the tart mentioned above.
Most commercially available omelets seem to be very sweet, but this one has a refreshing, moderate sweetness that matches perfectly with the sweet and sour taste of the peach.
The filling is similar to the tart mentioned above, but if you like fluffy crust I recommend the omelette, and if you like flaky crust I recommend the tart. But to be honest, I couldn't choose one because they were both so good!
3: A refreshing sweet perfect for summer! "Melting Peach and Almond Jelly"
Next up is a cup dessert! "Melting Peach Almond Jelly" (259 yen).
The almond jelly is topped with peach sauce and diced peaches. Its refreshing appearance is perfect for summer.
The thick peach sauce is delicious when mixed with the soft and chewy almond tofu! The flavor of the almond matches perfectly with the sweet and sour taste of the peach.
It has a light and refreshing taste, making it a must-have dish on a hot day!
4. "Gyutto Momo Daifuku" - Melty daifuku overflowing with peach sauce
The last one is a Japanese sweet, "Gyutto Momo Daifuku" (171 yen).
The cute, round mochi is filled with plenty of cream and peach sauce.
The outer mochi is made from soft and smooth habutae flour from Niigata Prefecture. It has a gooey texture that melts in your mouth!
Slightly sweet and sour, juicy peach sauce oozes out from the center. It goes perfectly with the refreshing cream!
It has a clean aftertaste, so it's easy to eat and I finished it in no time. It's so delicious, so be careful not to eat too much!
We have introduced Lawson's high-quality peach sweets that you wouldn't believe you could buy at a convenience store. Be sure to try them before they sell out! (Text by Maruchin)
