Tender A5 rank Saga beef galore! A traditional Japanese cafe with luxurious curry (Tosu City, Saga Prefecture)

Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.

This time, we will introduce a stylish cafe located in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture.

Very popular with families! A stylish cafe where you can relax "Kominka Cafe & Bar Saburo36" (Tosu City, Saga Prefecture)

About an hour's drive from Fukuoka city and a five-minute walk from JR Tosu Station, you'll find "Kominka Cafe & Bar Saburo36."

In 2001, they opened a curry specialty store, and in 2011, a French toast specialty store. In 2018, they merged and expanded, and are now operating as "saburo36." Incidentally, the owner's name is "Kitajima," so they named the store "Saburo."

There is also a projector installed, so it can be used for wedding receptions.

This time I visited for lunch.

From the various menu options available, including the "Dessert Lunch" (1,800 yen) which comes with a choice of main dish (with salad), dessert, and lunch drink, the "French Toast Lunch" (with salad, 1,300 yen), and the "Pasta Lunch" (with salad, 1,300 yen), I chose the following.

"Saga beef grilled curry lunch" (with salad, 1,600 yen). I ordered a large portion for an additional 350 yen to share with my kids!

The restaurant's proud "Saga Beef Curry" is made with A5 grade Saga beef and plenty of onions from Shiroishi Town, Saga Prefecture. It also contains secret ingredients such as scallops and red wine.

It is topped with cheese and eggs and baked. The delicious aroma of the browned crust is irresistible.

The curry is simmered slowly over time, giving it a rich flavor as the sweetness of the onions melts into it. It's not too spicy, so even children can easily eat it.

It is filled with large chunks of Saga beef, which are so tender that they can be torn apart with a spoon.

It was truly a luxurious dish!

Of course, we also recommend the uncooked "Saga Beef Curry Lunch" (with salad, 1,300 yen). You can also add your favorite toppings.

All of the dishes are appealing, including "Sangen pork loin cutlet, fried chicken, and sausage" (700 yen), "Cheese and soft-boiled egg" (420 yen), "Colorful vegetables" (460 yen), "Luxurious seafood" (760 yen), and "Juicy fried young chicken" (370 yen).

In the photo, I tried topping it with colorful vegetables. Tomato, broccoli, cauliflower, okra, zucchini, pumpkin, asparagus, sweet potato, etc. It's colorful and beautiful!

If you like, you can add "Saga Nero," an all-purpose seasoning made from habanero peppers grown in Saga Prefecture, to your curry.

"Saga Nero" has no unnecessary sourness, so it doesn't change the flavor of the dish and enhances its umami. It is quite spicy, so be careful with the amount you eat.

The salad in the set was simple and mainly leafy. The onion-based dressing was delicious.

By the way, "Saga Beef Curry" (972 yen) and "Saga Nero" (1,296 yen) are also available for takeaway in the store.

Cute and delicious ♡ 36 varieties of "French toast"

Be sure to try the popular "French toast" too!

There are a total of 36 different varieties available, ranging from classic sweet treats to savory treats and seasonal items.

They use a slightly harder French bread, which is baked fresh to order.

This is "Gâteau au Chocolat and Chocolate Ice Cream with Banana Caramelized Sauce" (1,240 yen). The sweet aroma will make you fall in love with it.

The French toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and had a rich flavor. It wasn't heavy at all, so I could eat it all in one go.

The cake was filled with chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, caramelized bananas and plenty of fresh cream, making it a very filling treat. The kids were delighted.
