Rich and delicious! A popular ice cream specialty store run by a one-star chef (Yahata Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Hello. I'm Momo and I love going to cafes.
When it gets hot, you want to eat some cold ice cream, right? This is perfect for times like that!
This time, we will introduce you to a very popular ice cream shop located in Yachiyo-cho, Yahata ku, Kitakyushu city.
"Komaru Kurosaki Main Store," an ice cream specialty store overseen by a one-star chef (Yachiyo-cho, Yahata-ku, Kitakyushu City)
"KOMARU Kurosaki Main Branch" is located about a 14-minute walk from JR Kurosaki Station, near Kitakyushu Municipal Kurosaki Central Elementary School.
This restaurant was opened in 2017 by Teruzo Matsuyama, a sweet-toothed chef and owner of Matsuyama, a restaurant that was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide Fukuoka/Saga 2014 Special Edition.
The gold store name and gray exterior walls are very stylish.
There is parking space for a total of 9 cars next to the store and nearby, so it is easy to get there by car.
There is an eat-in space with about 10 seats inside the store.
The open Japanese space where you can feel the warmth of wood is very impressive.
Strollers are also allowed inside the store, so you can feel safe bringing children with you.
There is also a cute photo spot covered with flowers.
The signature dish "Kurosaki Soft Serve Ice Cream" is made with carefully selected ingredients
As soon as you enter the store, there is a counter where you can choose your menu.
In addition to their signature soft serve ice cream, they also offer other items such as ice cream made with carefully selected ingredients (single 450 yen, double 500 yen, triple 550 yen), ice cream daifuku monaka (400 yen) and soft serve shake (500 yen).
The "soft serve ice cream" is made from Jersey milk from Kumamoto Prefecture and fresh cream from Hokkaido, and they pay particular attention to the temperature and air content to ensure the most comfortable, smooth texture.
In addition to the classic "Kurosaki Soft Serve" (450 yen) and "Kurosaki Chocolate Soft Serve" (500 yen), there will also be limited-edition flavors made with seasonal ingredients.
On this day, I ordered the Kurosaki Soft Serve Ice Cream.
Above all, the round shape is cute and distinctive ♡ You'll want to take pictures of it ♪
The taste is sweet, rich, and milky ♡ It's so delicious that it's easy to see why it's so popular.
The limited-edition soft serve ice cream that I had when I visited was the "Hojicha Soft Serve" (500 yen). It was milky yet had the aroma of tea leaves, and had a clean aftertaste. It was absolutely delicious.
Currently, "Pistachio Soft Serve" (600 yen) is available for a limited time only in July.
"Ice cream" is also sold in cups (400 to 500 yen). In addition to the 12 standard flavors, there are seasonal flavors that use plenty of seasonal ingredients.
It is also recommended as a reward for yourself or as a gift for someone special.
This time I visited the Kurosaki main store, but they also have stores in AMU Plaza Kokura and Yakuin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City.
