This time, we will introduce you to a noteworthy new restaurant that has opened in Haruyoshi, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City.

A chicken version of Fukuoka's soul food "Yakiniku Teppan"! "Original Hakata Chicken Teppan Chicken Man" (Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)

"Original Hakata Chicken Teppan Chicken Man" opened on June 25th, 2024 on the second floor of a complex called "HARUYOSHI Square", a five-minute walk from Tenjin Minami Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line.

This restaurant serves "Tori Teppan," a version of Fukuoka's specialty "Yakiniku Teppan," made with stir-fried cabbage and pork seasoned with garlic, using domestic chicken.

The interior of the restaurant is bright with light pouring in through the large windows. There are three counter seats and table seats.

Full of stamina and delicious! Try the "Chicken Teppan"

The menu consists of two main dishes: "Chicken Teppan" (980 yen for one portion, 1,380 yen for 1.5 portions, 1,780 yen for double portions) and "Chicken Teppan (without garlic)" (980 yen for one portion, 1,380 yen for 1.5 portions, 1,780 yen for double portions), which is great for those who are concerned about odors. The chicken is stir-fried in a large pot and served on a piping hot iron plate, which enhances the aroma.

If you add the "Rice and Miso Soup Set" (medium rice 200 yen, large 250 yen, extra large 300 yen), it becomes a set meal. You can also add toppings such as "Pork Egg" (100 yen) and "Cheese" (100 yen).

They also have side dishes like "Fried Chicken (3 pieces)" (300 yen) and "Kimchi" (350 yen), so you can enjoy them like at an izakaya with "Beer" (550 yen), "Highball" (500 yen), or "Lemon Sour" (450 yen).

On this day, I ordered one portion of "Teppan Chicken" and a "Rice and Miso Soup Set" (medium size), topped with two types of toppings: "Pork Egg" and "Cheese." I also ordered a side dish of "Kimchi."

You can customize it to your liking with the "homemade spicy miso," "original ponzu sauce," and "yuzu pepper" available on the table!

When using spicy miso, there is a key point: Place the stick provided on the table under one side of the hot plate and tilt it diagonally.

Dissolve the spicy miso in the oil that has accumulated on the bottom and mix it with the ingredients before eating.

The spicy miso is rich and full-bodied. When combined with the fat from the chicken, it becomes even more delicious. The aroma of garlic also increases your appetite...!

Be sure to try the ponzu sauce and yuzu pepper set. It has a refreshing taste, completely different from spicy miso. The refreshing aroma and spiciness of the yuzu pepper enhance the flavor.

You can eat "Kimchi" as it is, but we also recommend putting it on "Chicken Teppan". The crunchy texture and sourness are a great accent!

I was able to enjoy the ultimate combination of chicken and cabbage in a variety of different toppings and seasonings, making for a fantastic lunch.
