Open from 6:30! Rice burger specialty store "KomeKome Burger Hakata Ekimae Branch" (Hakata Ekimae, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)

Kome Kome Burger Hakata Ekimae is located on the first floor of the Prince Smart Inn Hakata Hotel, about a five minute walk from the Hakata Exit of JR Hakata Station. This rice burger specialty store originated in Fukuoka, with the concept of "one bite that makes the body happy."

It's open from 6:30am, so it's convenient to stop by before going to work!

The interior of the shop has a cafe-like atmosphere, with sofa seats, table seats, and counter seats with electrical outlets. Free Wi-Fi is also available.

Popular morning menu item: "Multigrain rice burger set"

The morning menu (6:30-11:00) includes the "Multigrain Rice Burger Set" (3 varieties, 770 yen each) and the "Burger Set" (2 varieties, 770 yen each). You can choose your favorite burger with either miso soup or a drink.

With the "Multigrain Rice Burger Set," you can choose from three types of rice burgers: "Hakata Mentaiko Dashimaki" made with Spicy Fish Eggs from the Hakata restaurant "Wakaei," "Salad Chicken with Miso Athlete" made with Mitsuse chicken, and "Homemade Fried Horse Mackerel with Tartar Sauce" from Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, the mecca for fried horse mackerel.

On this day, I ordered "Homemade tartar sauce with fried horse mackerel"!

The rice burgers at this shop are made to order, so you can always enjoy a freshly made taste. They also feature original buns made with carefully selected Kyushu rice, millet, and vegetable powder.

The "Homemade Tartar Horse Mackerel Fried Rice Burger" is served with "Spinach & Green Tea Buns" made with spinach, green tea paste, and green rice from Miyazaki Prefecture. The colors are so pretty!

The fried horse mackerel, drenched in tartar sauce, had a wonderful crispy texture! It went perfectly with the soft and chewy bun, and was a very satisfying taste. It was also very filling.

Other rice buns include the "Pumpkin & Turmeric Bun" made with super barley and glutinous barley, and the "Tomato & Paprika Bun" made with black rice and red rice (photo below).

Basically, the bun combination is decided according to the ingredients, but you can change it to your favorite bun if you wish.

Recommended for cafe time! "Chaka Set" with 15 types of multigrain rice burgers to choose from

From the grand menu, which can be ordered from 11am, we recommend the "Tea and Sweets Set." It comes with a rice burger of your choice from 15 varieties, tea (hojicha or genmaicha, available hot or iced), and miso soup. Prices vary depending on the rice burger, ranging from 734 yen to 1,296 yen. You can change the miso soup to "Today's Sweets" for an additional 173 yen.

The photo shows the "Hakata Mentaiko Dashimaki Rice Burger" tea and dessert set (940 yen). I changed the miso soup to the dessert of the day.

The soft, plump egg seasoned with dashi stock went perfectly with the savory flavor and moderate saltiness of Spicy Fish Eggs, making it delicious.
