Dining bar "Flap" is located about a 5-minute walk from JR Shimozone Station. It is a popular restaurant that offers a menu that is not only delicious but also cute.

Only available on weekdays from 6pm! A very cute "Adult Plate"

The thing I wanted to try that day was the "Adult Plate" (1,400 yen), which started on April 15, 2024. It's a very cute "children's plate for adults" that's only available during dinner time on weekdays from 6 p.m. All the side dishes are also handmade by the master.

First up is the bear-shaped ketchup rice, which is lightly seasoned and goes perfectly with any side dish.

The eggs, which resemble a futon, have a gentle taste with a hint of butter.

There's a hamburger hidden inside!

It's soft and fluffy, juicy and bursting with juices! The filling size is also very satisfying.

The plate also includes homemade fried chicken, the most popular dish at dinner time.

The outside is light and crispy, while the inside is juicy and soft. The seasoning is a company secret, but the taste is exquisite and irresistible! After trying it just once, I became a big fan.

Another must-try dish is the "Fruit-filled Bear Parfait" (950 yen), available only during dinner time. The fruits used change with the season, and on the day we visited, there were three types: kiwi, orange, and black cherry.

The "Adult Lunch", available only three days a week, is also very popular!

So far we have been introducing the dinner menu, but Flap is also popular for its lunches, which are only available from Tuesday to Thursday. Among them, the "Adult Lunch" (1,200 yen) is a must-try, featuring exciting panda food.

In addition to rice, the plate comes with hamburger steak, fried chicken, sausages, salad, potatoes, a small side dish, and soup.

Another nice feature is that it comes with a drink.

You can choose from orange, grapefruit, oolong tea, cola, ginger ale, and coffee (hot/iced).

Another attractive feature of lunch is that for an additional 300 yen you can add a "Dessert of the Day" to your order. It's a mini parfait based on ice cream and sponge, and the fruit used changes depending on the season (the photo shows black cherry).
