Surprisingly juicy! A luxurious parfait filled with peaches at a popular fruit parlor (Kitakyushu City)
Hello♪ I'm Nanami, a writer who loves summer fruits.
This time, we will introduce some noteworthy products that can only be enjoyed now at a fruit parlor in Kitakyushu City!
If you want to enjoy seasonal fruits, this is the place to go! "Fruit Factory Mooon Moji Main Branch" (Nakamachi, Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Fruit Factory Mooon is a fruit parlour that sells carefully selected seasonal fruits from all over Japan as well as parfaits and other sweets made with them.
This extremely popular store has six stores in total, including the Moji Main Store in Nakamachi, Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City, as well as the Mojiko Retro Store, Otemachi Store, Riverwalk Store, The Outlets Kitakyushu Store, and Solaria Plaza Store (opening August 1, 2024).
We would like to introduce "Moji Sohonten" here. It is about a 12-minute walk from JR Moji Station, and is located along National Route 3. The green sign stands out against the white wall, making for an eye-catching exterior. The pop white lettering of the store name is cute!
There is a parking lot in front of the store and a second parking lot nearby, so it is easy to come by car.
When you enter the store, the first thing that catches your eye is the abundance of colorful seasonal fruits! It has a sweet and lovely scent that will make you smile.
The refrigerated space in the back is also packed with seasonal fruits. Delivery is also available, so it's recommended as a gift.
On the right side as you enter the store, there are take-out roll cakes, fruit sandwiches, jellies, and more.
And on the left side is the cafe space, where you can enjoy juices and parfaits made with fresh seasonal fruits.
*The price of the parfait in the photo is based on current market prices and may vary depending on what is in stock.
The spacious space, decorated in white, has a total of nine tables that seat four and two people.
On the day we visited, there were people using the cafe space as soon as it opened, showing how popular it is.
Seasonal special peach parfait "White peach - Hikawa Hakuho"
This time, I tried a luxurious parfait made with plenty of peaches, which are in season in the summer.
The "White Peach - Hikawa Hakuho" (1,738 yen) will be available until the end of August 2024.
*Parfait prices vary depending on market price and what is available.
The white peaches are so plentiful they almost spill out, making it really exciting!
The Hikawa Hakuho variety is characterized by its low fiber content and high juice content. When you eat it, the juice drips out, and it's so juicy that you'll be surprised! I ate it in no time ♡
Of course, the parfait is filled with white peaches, vanilla ice cream, and cookies.
Everything was delicious, right down to the peach jelly that came at the end. It was a truly special parfait, and it was clear that they had used a generous amount of high-quality ingredients.
There were also other parfaits using seasonal fruits, such as "Miyazaki Mango & Shizuoka Melon" (2,178 yen) and "House Mandarin Oranges & Cherries" (1,408 yen). *Parfait prices are subject to change depending on market price and availability.
The parfait "White Peach - Hikawa Hakuho" can be enjoyed at all stores, including the Moji Main Store.
We also recommend store-exclusive products! Sweet and rich fruit flavored "Fruit Popsicles"
Another item we would like to recommend is the "Fruit Popsicles" (410 yen or 518 yen), which are only available at the "Riverwalk Store" and "Mojiko Retro Store".
The Riverwalk store that I visited has a stylish glass exterior.
The dot pattern on the interior is pop and cute ♡
The "Fruit Popsicles" I was looking for are located in the center of the counter inside the store.
They use seasonal fruits, so they are juicy and delicious, and apparently they always have about 5 to 8 varieties in stock.
When I went in late June, there were five flavors available: (from the left in the photo below) "Orange x Orange" (410 yen), "Strawberry x Strawberry" (518 yen), "Blueberry x Yogurt" (410 yen), as well as "Banana x Banana" (410 yen) and "Apple x Pineapple" (410 yen).
I tried three popular varieties:
The "Orange x Orange" was juicy, like sweet, rich orange juice that had been frozen. It even contained three slices of orange! It was so satisfying, it was like eating a whole orange.
The most popular "Strawberry x Strawberry" had almost no sourness and the sweetness of strawberries filled my mouth. It also had a lot of frozen strawberries in it, so it was very satisfying to eat.
"Blueberries x Yogurt" is apparently the most popular combination among children. The frozen blueberries have a delicious, crunchy texture and sweet-and-sour taste! They also go perfectly with the refreshing sourness of the yogurt.
Apparently many people buy it as takeout and eat it while walking around. It's the perfect way to get some sugar and hydration during the hot summer.
Be sure to come and enjoy the deliciousness of seasonal fruits. (Text by Nanami)
