A weekday-only lunch course has been launched at the popular restaurant run by a one-star chef (Aburayama Fukuoka)
We have some gourmet news that we want all Fukuoka residents to check out!
The long-awaited lunch will begin at this extremely popular restaurant in a popular spot.
Enjoy "global food culture" in a casual setting, created by a Michelin chef! "Sola Aburayama" (Kashiwara, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
Aburayama is a 30-minute drive from the center of Fukuoka City and is being developed as part of a Fukuoka City project. It will reopen in April 2023 after renovation, and has been reborn as a nature experience facility with a campsite and farm on its vast grounds.
What caused a stir among foodies at the time was the news that a second branch of Restaurant Sola would be opening on the premises!
Hiroki Yoshitake, the owner and chef of Restaurant Sola, opened Sola in Paris in March 2011 and was so talented that he earned one star in the Michelin Guide France 2012 just one year and three months later.
When he returned to Japan in 2018 and moved his restaurant to Bayside Place Hakata in Fukuoka, it quickly became a popular restaurant that was difficult to book... In addition, he has been involved in supervising the in-flight meals for first and business class on Japan Airlines flights from Paris to Japan (since 2013), and the list of his illustrious career is endless.
The restaurant we will introduce this time is "sola aburayama," a restaurant with an attached "farm" which could be considered a new venture by Chef Yoshitake.
Based on the theme, "What is the true meaning of 'luxury'?", this restaurant is located in a great location overlooking the city of Fukuoka, and uses ingredients grown on Aburayama's farm to provide a casual experience of the global food cultures experienced by the chef.
Since its opening, "sola aburayama" has only offered an a la carte menu, but in response to popular demand, a weekday-only lunch course will be available from June 17, 2024!
Weekdays only! Reservations required for the "Lunch Course"
The "Lunch Course" (8,250 yen, reservation required) is a full French course.
The meal starts with an amuse bouche plate, followed by four appetizers, a main course and dessert.
The course menu differs from that of Restaurant Sola in Bayside Place, which uses an abundance of seafood, and is unique to Aburayama. The dishes are made with great care to accentuate the expressions of the vegetables, and are presented in a dynamic style that expresses nature in a way that is a feast for the eyes and the palate.

Reservations can be made by phone or online.
The quiet and relaxed scenery, the pleasant mountain breeze and warmth of the sun, and the view of Fukuoka in the distance - it's sure to be a special time surrounded by the nature of Mt. Abura.
This is a long-awaited lunch course, and we have a feeling it will attract a lot of attention! If you're interested, it might be a good idea to make a reservation early.
For those who are curious about what the menu will be like, we plan to provide a more detailed introduction at a later date. Please look forward to it. (Text/ARNE Editorial Department)
