Incredibly delicious! A popular tonkotsu ramen restaurant that's child-friendly (Kurume City)

Hello. I'm Yuri and I love ramen.

This time, we will introduce you to some excellent pork bone ramen from Kurume City.

The stylish interior design is a highlight of the popular tonkotsu ramen restaurant "Menya Gaga Kurume Kamitsu Bypass (GAGA)" (Kurume City)

In addition to the main store in Ogori, the tonkotsu ramen shop "Menya GAGA" has stores in Tenjin and Kurume Kamitsu Bypass. It is a popular shop known among ramen lovers, but after moving to Kyushu, I finally got to visit it for the first time!

I visited the Kurume Kamitsu Bypass store, which is about a five-minute drive from JR Kurume Daigakumae Station.

There is a large parking lot along the bypass, so it is convenient to go by car. Nearby are the Kurume Bicycle Racing Track and the Kurume Cycle Family Park.

Looking from the road, the entrance is on the back side, at the slope.

The interior of the store, with its eye-catching bamboo, is a Japanese modern space with a wood motif.

In addition to counter seats,

There are table seats available.

There are also tatami seating areas perfect for families with children!

Baby chairs are also available, so you can feel safe bringing your baby along.

"Ajitama Ramen" - Impressed by the rich and flavorful soup!

I ordered the ever-popular "Ajidama Ramen" (930 yen).

The photo above shows the dish covered in a special "spicy sauce," but this was served on a separate plate, which made it easy to share with children. Even a small amount is enough to bring out the spiciness, so if you'd like to adjust the amount, just let the staff know when you order.

Let's start with the soup. It's a mellow pork bone broth that's been simmered for over 21 hours, with a strong soy sauce flavor.

Another great thing about this ramen is that it has a mild, animal-like smell that is characteristic of pork bone broth, making it easy to eat.

It's rich and full-bodied, and absolutely delicious! It's a flavor that you either love or hate.

The extremely thin, straight noodles go down extremely smoothly when slurped up vigorously.

The way it mixes with the soup is just perfect!

It also contains large pieces of pork, so it's very satisfying.

Add in the soft, soft, half-boiled seasoned egg and you'll be in for a blissful experience!

If I had room in my stomach, the quality was such that I would have asked for a refill.

By the way, the 3cm-tall "meal stand" on which the ramen rests is also one of the special touches.

Apparently it was created to make ramen easier to eat and to prevent the soup from staining the chest area.

They also lent us scissors to cut the noodles so that they were easier for our children to eat, which was very helpful.

"Takana-wrapped rice balls" that go well with ramen

This is the "Takana-wrapped rice ball" (130 yen each), a specialty of "Menya Waga." The rice ball is made from "Hinohikari" rice from Fukuoka Prefecture, which is polished in small batches for the best taste, and is wrapped in takana leaves.

Takana leaves are not pickled in mustard, as the leaves themselves contain spicy ingredients, making them slightly spicy.

You'll become addicted to the green aroma and unique flavor.

Not only is it delicious, but it's also easy to bring children to, so I've become a big fan!

Please stop by. (Text by Yuri-chan)
