Enjoy the sweetness and bitterness of 7-Eleven's three new "matcha sweets"

This time, we will introduce Seven-Eleven's new matcha sweets, which were released in May 2024.

1: A luxurious taste! "Golden Ice Cream Waffle Cone with Hand-picked Uji Matcha Green Tea Carefully Selected by a Tea Master"

First up is the "7P Gold Golden Ice Cream Waffle Cone with Hand-Picked Uji Matcha Carefully Selected by a Tea Master" (408 yen), which was released in the week of May 13, 2024.

Personally, I have high expectations just from the "Gold Series," but I'm especially attracted to the "Hand-picked Uji Matcha Carefully Selected by Tea Masters" in the name.

A beautifully shaped matcha soft serve is placed on a waffle cone.

When I tried sticking a spoon into it, it went in easily and was fluffy!

The matcha soft serve has a refined sweetness with just the right amount of matcha bitterness, and a strong matcha aroma.

And the waffle cone is delicious on its own!

It had a rich sweetness and an authentic taste, similar to the waffle cookies sold at Western confectionery shops.

This slightly luxurious matcha soft serve is perfect as a treat ice cream for the weekend!

2: Very satisfying! "Matcha and Condensed Milk Cream Cake"

Next up is the "Matcha and Condensed Milk Cream Cake" (159 yen), which was released in the week of May 20, 2024. It is sold at room temperature in the donut section, not in the sweets section.

The cake is made with matcha-flavored dough and generously drizzled with matcha chocolate, and topped with matcha and condensed milk cream in the middle. It's truly full of matcha!

The crumbly dough and the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate coating are a perfect match.

The cream in the middle is a perfect combination of the mellow, rich sweetness of condensed milk and the bitter taste of matcha!
