[Fukuoka Event Information] Aloha! Hakata Hankyu "Hawaiian Festival" (May 22-27)

This time, we will be introducing the Hawaiian Festival 2024, which will be held at Hakata Hankyu starting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

[May 22nd (Wed) - 27th (Mon)] Popular event "Hawaiian Festival 2024" (Hakata Hankyu)

This year marks the 12th anniversary of Hakata Hankyu's popular event, the Hawaiian Festival 2024.

A total of 39 stores (including 10 stores making their first appearance at Hakata Hankyu) will be gathered at the event space on the 8th floor, selling Hawaiian cosmetics, interior goods, local food, and more, all of which will make you feel "Hau'oli" (fun and happy). During the event, a total of 43 stages will be held, including the "Hula Show," which is a huge success every year.

The event will run for six days from Wednesday, May 22nd to Monday, May 27th from 10:00am to 8:00pm (until 5:00pm on the final day).

"Gourmet food and sweets" that will get you in the Hawaiian mood

"Coconut Glen" coconut ice cream

Coconut Glen, a coconut ice cream shop from Maui, is offering Coconut Ice Cream (471 yen per scoop), which is rich and flavorful despite being free of eggs and dairy products.

The secret to its flavor is the special coconut milk! It will be served on a coconut plate at the venue.

"Honolulu Cookie Company" Signature Gift Box Chocolate Collection

When it comes to souvenirs from Hawaii, the first thing that comes to mind is the Honolulu Cookie Company.

The Signature Gift Box Chocolate Collection (M) (4,298 yen) will be available, containing an assortment of shortbread cookies dipped in milk, dark, and white chocolate.

"Masaz Malasada" Custard Cream Malasada

You can't miss the traditional Hawaiian sweet "malasadas," which combine a subtle, refined custard cream with a chewy dough.

During the demonstration, Masa's Malasadas will be selling their Custard Cream Malasadas (378 yen each).

"CC's" Chicken and waffles with Huli Huli chicken sauce

CC's is introducing a set of crispy chicken and fluffy waffles called "Chicken and Waffles with Huli Huli Chicken Sauce" (1,201 yen).

The chicken is served with special huli huli chicken sauce, and the waffles are topped with original butter syrup.

"Pioneer Saloon" Garlic Cajun Shrimp

Island Soap & Candle Works, a handmade soap and candle specialty store from Kauai, has released coconut oil soaps in a variety of scents. *Made in Hawaii

"Creamy Coconut," "Pineapple Passion Fruit," "Mango Coconut Guava," "Pikake Jasmine," and "Plumeria Blossom" are 1,320 yen each.

"Sunday Funday Market" - Various works by creators who love Hawaii

Also worth checking out is the Sunday Fun Day Market, which brings together creators who have ties to Hawaii and love Hawaii.

Items on display include remade denim bags (pictured above), aloha T-shirts, rugs, earrings, tableware, and miscellaneous goods.
