[Lawson] Including the popular Black Mont Blanc collaboration! 3 recommended new breads and sweets

I'm Masayo Sakamoto, a writer who loves convenience store sweets.

This time, we will introduce new products that will be on sale at Lawson from April 9, 2024. There is also a collaboration product with the already popular ice bar Black Mont Blanc (Takeshita Confectionery), which has been loved in Kyushu for 55 years.

1: A bakery that tastes like sweets! "Melon bread that tastes like Black Mont Blanc"

First up is the "Black Mont Blanc-like Melon Bread" (160 yen).

As the name suggests, this melon bread is an expression of "Black Mont Blanc," which is characterized by chocolate and crunchy crunch and nuts.

The dough is light and fluffy, and has a taste similar to that of a sweet, making you want to keep munching away.

Sandwiched between the dough is a sweet cream that has a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of the vanilla ice cream in the Black Mont Blanc, and goes perfectly with the dough!

You can enjoy a variety of flavors and textures, including the crispy chocolate coating and crunchy crunch topping.

Personally, I like to mash it up and eat it so I can enjoy all the different flavors at once! Please be careful when eating it as it tends to fall apart easily.

2: On sale outside the Kyushu area! "Takeshita Seika Special Black Mont Blanc"

Next up is "Takeshita Seika Special Black Mont Blanc" (173 yen). It's a larger version of the "Black Mont Blanc" with the same flavor.

It's only sold at Lawson stores in the Kyushu area and throughout the country (with the exception of some areas), so unfortunately it can't be purchased in Fukuoka, but it's quite a rare treat to be able to buy Kyushu's local ice cream nationwide! We hope that people from Fukuoka will also check it out if they're traveling outside Kyushu during Golden Week or other times.

* In the Kyushu area, the regular product "Black Mont Blanc" (140 yen) is available.

When we removed the contents from the special-looking packaging labeled "From Kyushu" and "Special," we found a large, heavy ice bar.

The crunch topping on the chocolate coating is mixed with peanuts, giving off a soft, fragrant aroma.

When you take a bite, the crunchy texture of the chocolate and crunch is just delicious!

The vanilla ice cream inside has a light taste, so it's the kind of ice cream you can eat in one go as a dessert after a meal.
