Extremely satisfyingly rich and juicy♡ [Ministop] New Halo-Halo and popular parfait
I'm Masayo Sakamoto, a writer who loves convenience store sweets.
This time, we will introduce a luxurious parfait made with matcha "Halo Halo" and ripe apple mango, which will be on sale at "Ministop" from March 22, 2024.
1. Enjoy rich matcha! "Halo Halo Matcha x MATCHA"
First up is "Halo Halo Matcha x MATCHA" (495 yen).
This is a luxurious Japanese "Halo Halo" that allows you to enjoy plenty of matcha.
The cup is filled with plenty of matcha ice drizzled in rich Uji matcha syrup, giving it an authentic taste that lets you fully experience the rich flavor and bitterness of matcha.
It is topped with Ministop's specialty "Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream." When combined with the matcha ice cream, the moderate sweetness and richness of the milk combine to create a mellow matcha dessert.
As I continued eating the matcha ice cream, I discovered azuki beans!
The soft, fluffy, refined sweetness of the azuki beans is also quite pronounced! They're evenly distributed throughout the cake, making a nice accent to the flavor.
This is a must-try dish for matcha lovers.
2: Juicy and melt-in-your-mouth! "Ripe Apple Mango Parfait"
The ever-popular "Ripe Apple Mango Parfait" (440 yen) is back again this year!
This parfait is made with Thai mangoes called Mahachanok, which are known for their rich flavor and aroma, and is filled with mango pulp and sauce.
The first thing that catches your eye is a bite-sized mango! It's crunchy on the outside and sticky on the inside, with an irresistible rich sweetness!
The bottom of the cup is filled with mango pulp and mango sauce. The sauce is made from the ripe part of the mango around the seed, which is sweet and fragrant, so it's very rich!
It goes perfectly with the "Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream," and the richness of the milk adds to the flavor.
It's also recommended as a reward dessert.
3: Full of mango! "Tokumori Apple Mango Parfait"
The last dish is the "Tokumori Apple Mango Parfait" (657 yen).
This parfait is even more luxurious, as it uses twice the amount of mango as the "Ripe Apple Mango Parfait."
It's packed with large mangoes and plenty of rich mango sauce, so it's a great deal that's worthy of the name "Tokumori"!
The crunchy mango flesh, like a sherbet, becomes sticky as you leave it. It also goes well with the "Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream," so you can enjoy it twice.
It was very filling and the taste and quantity were both satisfying!
Of course you can eat it in the eat-in corner, but you can also take it home and enjoy it as it starts to melt, which is a different kind of fun. Be sure to check it out at your nearest Ministop. (Text by Masayo Sakamoto)
