A popular Japanese café that's the talk of the town! The "Hanami Parfait" is both visually appealing and tasty (Shimokawabata-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce you to a super cute cherry blossom parfait in full bloom that will make you want to eat it as soon as you see it.
A stylish and relaxing Japanese cafe in Nakasu, "Kamidokoro Takimura" (Shimokawabata-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City)
"Amamidokoro Takimura" is located on the second basement floor of "Hakata Riverain Mall by TAKASHIMAYA", which is directly connected to Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the Subway Airport Line and Hakozaki Line.
This is a Japanese cafe where you can enjoy carefully selected sweets and drinks made with ingredients such as matcha.
The interior of the restaurant has a stylish, modern Japanese decor and a relaxing atmosphere.
There are table seats and counter seats.
You'll want to eat it when you see it! "Hanami Parfait"
The item we were looking for this time was the limited-time "Hanami Parfait - Sakura Clouds" (1,600 yen), which can be enjoyed until mid-April 2024 (subject to possible extension).
This is an updated version of the Hanami Parfait that was popular last year. It represents cherry blossoms in full bloom, making it a fun parfait to look at and delicious to eat.
This time, we were given special permission to film the process of making it.
The inside of the glass is designed to resemble a three-colored dumpling, with cherry blossom-colored jelly at the bottom and pearl barley and whipped cream in the white part.
On top is a matcha pudding made with organic Uji matcha, and then a matcha sponge cake is placed on top of that.
Then, Amaou strawberry ice cream is served.
Amaou strawberry ice cream is carefully topped with cherry blossom cream, resembling the petals of a blooming flower.
It is then topped with three-colored rice dumplings, plum-shaped monaka, and "oiri" sweets imported from Kagawa Prefecture to complete the dish.
The cherry blossom cream has a soft cherry blossom scent that will make you feel the arrival of spring.
The Amaou strawberry ice cream was light yet rich, adding a refreshing accent to the refined Japanese flavor.
The matcha has such an elegant taste that you will be entranced!
The tastes and textures of the various ingredients change with every bite, and it was a well-thought-out meal that left me thinking "delicious!" right to the very end.
Speaking of "Takimura"! The sweet "Strawberry Dumpling Set" is available for a limited time
Speaking of "Amami Dokoro Takimura," they are also famous for their chewy dumplings that are grilled on a charcoal grill at the table.
Until around mid-May 2024, you can also enjoy the "Strawberry Dango Set" (from 1,620 yen). The price varies depending on the drink you choose, and this time I ordered the "Strawberry Dango Set with Hojicha Pot" (1,730 yen).
The roasted green tea is made using organically grown tea leaves from Nakai Tea Plantation in Wazuka-cho, Kyoto Prefecture. The rich aroma is soothing.
There was about 3 to 4 cups worth of drink, so I was able to enjoy it to my heart's content.
The strawberries, arranged to look like blooming flowers, are Amaou strawberries from Vegeful Farm in Koga City, Fukuoka Prefecture. They are grown in a greenhouse with careful consideration to the environment, and are grown with reduced use of pesticides. To maintain freshness, they are delivered directly from the farm!
We immediately started grilling the dumplings on the tabletop charcoal grill. It was great to be able to grill them myself and enjoy them fresh!
If you turn it around while cooking, it will get a nice golden brown color in no time! It looks so delicious.
Serve on a plate with bean paste and strawberries.
The rice dumplings have a fine, chewy texture. The fragrant toasted flavor and the subtle sweetness of the bean paste make them irresistible! The sweet and sour strawberries go perfectly with them.
Be sure to try these two Japanese sweets that will make you feel the arrival of spring. (Text by CHIHIRO)
