Hello Pannichi! Today, we will continue our wonderful "Fukuoka Bread Life" theme by bringing you the latest bakery information and recommended products.
This time we will introduce a summer bread event that has become popular in Fukuoka.

Bakeries gathered at Panstock and Stock for the "Mugi Fest" which always drew long lines
Wheat is the main ingredient in bread. Just like new rice and new buckwheat, wheat also has a seasonal flavor called "new wheat."
The "Barley Festival" is a nationwide event that was started to allow people to enjoy the unique taste of new wheat.
This is a harvest festival organized by the NPO Shinmai Collection, to give thanks for the unique flavor of new wheat and the blessings of nature.
In Fukuoka, the Wheat Festival is held in August when the harvest season for new wheat begins. Every year, bakeries that support the new wheat collection gather at "Pan Stock" in Hakozaki and "Stock" in Nishinakasu.
An exhibition and sale of special bread made with new wheat was held and was a huge success, with long lines forming every time.

This year's Mugi Fest will be held online for the first time!
This year's Mugi Festival will be held online for the first time, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020!
The event will be held four times in total, starting in Fukuoka, Kyushu, which has the earliest opening day in the country, and culminating in Hokkaido on Tuesday, October 20th.
A special menu using new wheat from Kyushu will be available for mail order on the special website, including bread, ramen, pasta, pizza, sweets, udon, and more.
