New cafe by popular Korean brand offers innovative marshmallow sweets and strawberry parfaits (Kiyokawa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)

Hello♪ I'm chippachapus and I love going to cafes.

This time, we will introduce a Korean cafe that opened on February 9, 2024 in Kiyokawa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City!

A cafe has opened at the Korean brand apparel shop "DAYDAYseoul Fukuoka"! (Kiyokawa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)

DAYDAYseoul Fukuoka is located a 6-minute walk from Watanabedori Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line and a 10-minute walk from Yakuin Station on the Nishitetsu Line. It is located next to the Kiyokawa Sunroad Shopping Arcade.

"DAYDAYseoul" is a Korean apparel brand that is currently based in Japan and has stores in Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. The Fukuoka store opened in May 2022.

There are rows of original design clothes and goods, and new products are released every season.

This apparel shop will now have a cafe attached and will be reopening on February 9, 2024!

There aren't many seats, but you can use the cafe only if you want. *One order per person, one hour limit when crowded.

They also offer a seasonal "Strawberry Parfait" ♡ These sweets made from scratch by pastry chefs are a must-try!

All of the sweets are homemade and created by pastry chefs working at DAYDAYseoul Nagoya.

This is the marshmallow dessert "Frozen S'mores" (800 yen), which is also very popular at the Nagoya store.

The surface of the marshmallow is toasted over a burner until golden brown, and ice cream and black cookies are hidden inside.

The chewy texture and gentle sweetness of the marshmallows are accented with the slightly bitter taste of the roasting. It's a new sensation!

You can choose between vanilla and chocolate ice cream inside.

Both went well with the marshmallow, and the crunchy texture of the black cookie was also great.

This is the "Frege Parfait" (750 yen), which will be available from February 17, 2024. It is limited in quantity and will end once the strawberry season is over.

This parfait is inspired by the French shortcake "fraisier" and is made with a generous amount of cream made from a mixture of custard and fresh cream.

Under the cream is sponge cake and strawberry sauce.

The cream was smooth and easy to eat, and the overall texture was light. The strawberries on top were the best ones of the day, and the sweetness spread throughout the mouth the moment you bite into them.

It was like a luxurious shortcake and was very delicious.

This is the "Yakgwa Sandwich" (800 yen), which uses "Yakgwa," a popular traditional Korean snack made from a dough of cinnamon, flour, and other ingredients that is deep-fried and soaked in syrup.

Ice cream is sandwiched between "yakugashi" that has been warmed in a toaster and finished off with a drizzle of syrup.

The warm yakuka and cool ice cream went perfectly together, and the syrup enhanced the flavor even more.

More than 10 types of drinks on the menu! Drinks served in cute original cups

There are over 10 types of drinks on the menu.

This time I'll introduce the two items I actually ordered.

The first one is "Honey Latte" (830 yen).

The rich sweetness of the honey that spreads softly across my tongue was irresistible.

You can add it to a drink if you like, or eat the whole honeycomb.

The second is "Hot Chocolate" (780 yen).

The hot chocolate was topped with cream and plenty of cocoa powder, giving it a nice, rich flavor.
