Hello, I'm Yuri and I love pizza.

This time, we will introduce a restaurant in Iizuka City where you can enjoy delicious pizza and homemade gelato.

PIZZERIA GRAFFITO (Iizuka City) where you can enjoy Neapolitan pizza baked in an Italian wood-fired oven and homemade gelato

PIZZERIA GRAFFITO opened on January 10, 2023, a five-minute walk from Iizuka Station on the JR Chikuho Main Line.

This restaurant is well-known for its authentic Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood-fired oven imported from Naples, Italy, and homemade gelato.

The pizza ingredients used are carefully selected Italian ingredients such as flour, olive oil, salt, and cheese.

The shop has three seats at the counter,

The restaurant is run by a female chef alone, but even with the orders coming in one after the other, it was clear that she valued communication with customers.

The chef was very kind to the children and smiled, which naturally brought a smile to our faces. This is a restaurant where the chef's kindness shines through.

There are also some rare Italian baked goods for sale near the cash register, all handmade by the chef.

The dough is so chewy! Exquisite Neapolitan pizza made with carefully selected Italian ingredients

At "PIZZERIA GRAFFITO," you can enjoy seven different types of pizza, from standard menu items to seasonal specials.

First up is the classic "Margherita" (1,320 yen).

It's truly Neapolitan pizza! The edges of the dough are raised and it's thick.

I ordered a salad and drink set for an additional 400 yen (the photo below shows two sets).

The simple composition of tomato sauce, basil, mozzarella (cheese), and Grana Padano (cheese) allows the aroma of freshly baked bread to be directly conveyed.

The sauce has a mild flavor and is a favorite of my kids. The dough is chewy and soft, so even though it's large, it's easy to eat.

The salad that comes with the set features a large ham, and is served with a dressing made from olive oil and plenty of basil. You can enjoy the Italian flavor to the fullest.

This is "Fungi" (1,650 yen), which is packed with mushrooms.

We were able to watch the cooking process from across the counter, and it was exciting to watch the ingredients being placed on top one after the other!

It is topped with a wide variety of ingredients, including shimeji mushrooms, maitake mushrooms, prosciutto, parsley, Grana Padano (cheese), and provola (smoked mozzarella). It's so luxurious!

It has a relatively plain flavor with a faint aroma of smoked mozzarella cheese, and goes perfectly with the chili oil!

Personally, I didn't find it that spicy, so I was fine even with just a generous amount ♪ It really enhances the flavor!

All pizzas are available for takeout (box fee 50 yen).

If you visit PIZZERIA GRAFFITO, you can't miss out on trying their homemade gelato, which is lined up in a display case outside the store.

A single room costs 330 yen, a double room 440 yen, and a triple room 550 yen.

The flavors change depending on the season and what's available, but on the day I visited there were six varieties available, including "Rich Chocolate," "Jersey Milk," "Strawberry," "Pear," and "White Chocolate Raspberry Sauce."

I couldn't decide which one to get, but I ended up ordering a double serving of the classic series' "Rich Chocolate" and "Jersey Milk."

For me, chocolate and milk is the perfect combination.

The "Rich Chocolate" in particular is literally rich, and even the kids praised it, saying, "It's so delicious!"

For my chocolate-loving family, it was irresistible.

Of course, gelato is also available for take-out only.
