The view is amazing! A stylish retro cafe with a delicious menu perfect for lunch (Heiwa, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who posts information about Fukuoka, mainly about cafes, on Instagram.
This time, I would like to introduce a stylish "retro cafe" that is known only to those in the know.
Enjoy your meal while admiring the beautiful scenery! Nagasaki Holland Coffee House, a cafe located on a hilltop (Heiwa, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
Nagasaki Oranda Coffee House is a Western-style brick café located on a hill in Heiwa, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. The walls are covered with ivy, and depending on the season, the whole building is covered in greenery!
This shop has been loved by many people since it opened in 1980.
It is located right in front of the Nishitetsu bus stop "Heiwa 1-chome", so it is convenient to use the bus. There are 18 parking spaces in total in the first and second parking lots, so it is easy to go out by car.
The interior of the store is lined with antique furniture, giving it an exotic atmosphere. The faint classical music playing in the background is very soothing.
Since it is located on a hill, the view from the large windows is also attractive.
There are 34 seats available, but it may fill up during lunch hours, so we recommend leaving early.
Reservations are possible after 5pm.
A selection of exquisite dishes ♡ Recommended food menu
The secret to its popularity is that in addition to cafe menu items such as authentic siphon coffee and sweets, it also offers a wide variety of food menu items, mainly Western cuisine.
This time, we will introduce some menus that are perfect for lunch.
Champon
The most popular dish is the "Chanpon" (small 1,298 yen, large 1,698 yen), a proud flavor that has been preserved since the restaurant first opened.
There are two sizes, the small one is about the same size as the regular size at other restaurants, while the large one apparently has 1.5 times the ingredients and twice the noodles.
The soup is made by simmering two types of chicken bones, pork bones, and six types of vegetables for an entire day, and then combining them with Japanese-style stock made from kelp, bonito flakes, dried sardines, scallops, etc., and it contains a total of 17 different ingredients.
This champon, packed with such attention to detail, was sophisticated and deep, and you'll want to drink up all the broth.
hamburger
The juicy "hamburger steak" made from 70% domestic beef and 30% domestic pork is also popular.
There are three flavors available: "Demi-glace," "Japonaise," and "Japanese style." In addition to the "a la carte" (1,598 yen), there is also a "Gozen" (1,898 yen) which comes with a small side dish, miso soup, rice, and pickles.
The photo shows the "Demi-glace Hamburger Set Meal."
The moment I put it in my mouth, the rich meat juice and demi-glace sauce spread throughout my mouth and it was absolutely delicious!
Pork cutlet
The "Pork Cutlet Gozen" (1,898 yen), which uses the Kagoshima-produced brand pork "Chamiton", is very filling (1,598 yen if ordered separately).
The crunchy batter contains juicy pork ♡ Combined with the traditional demi-glace sauce, it's perfect for eating with rice.
Mixed Combo
For those who want to try a variety of side dishes, we recommend the "Mixed Combo Gozen" (1,898 yen) (1,598 yen if ordered separately).
You can enjoy large fried shrimp, hamburger steak, and herb chicken nanbanyaki all at once! The fried shrimp is plump and the hamburger steak is plump. The juicy nanbanyaki goes perfectly with the homemade tartar sauce. It was a very satisfying and luxurious experience.
The dishes are prepared with care and attention, and each one was very satisfying in both taste and volume.
Why not go out and enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the beautiful scenery? (Text by Hicho_cafe)
