Drive along the Nakagawa River! Enjoy a rich Japanese lunch at a cafe with a great view of nature

This time, I would like to introduce a wonderful cafe I found in Nakagawa City.

Near Nakanoshima Park! Enjoy beautiful scenery, lunch and sweets at Lunch & Cafe Sora (Nakagawa City)

Lunch & Cafe Sora is located about 2 minutes by car or 7 minutes on foot from Nakanoshima Park. It opened in 2019.

The restaurant is located on a hill, so you can enjoy a beautiful view from the large windows.

The interior of the store has a calm atmosphere and is very comfortable!

It's the kind of place where you'll want to stay for a while.

There are also private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables, so it would be great for gathering with family and friends.

Pets are allowed on the terrace.

Please note that reservations cannot be made at this restaurant.

There are 6 types of lunch including a children's plate! The "Japanese set meal" that changes monthly is recommended with a wide variety of dishes.

There are 6 different lunch menu items in total.

There are various dishes available, all of which can be ordered until 3pm: "Japanese Set Meal" (1,500 yen), "Demi Omelette Rice" (1,250 yen, comes with soup and salad), "Japanese-style Hamburger Steak" (1,250 yen, comes with rice and miso soup), "Earth Curry" (1,150 yen, comes with soup and salad *weekdays only), "Mushroom Soup Pasta" (1,000 yen, comes with salad), "Sky Sandwich" (1,000 yen, comes with fries and soup), and "Children's Plate" (800 yen).

You can add coffee or tea (hot or iced) to your set drink for an additional 250 yen.

This time, I ordered the "Japanese set meal" which changes every month.

The main dish for February is "Pork wrapped in ginger."

The crunchy, spicy ginger is enveloped in the sweetly seasoned pork, creating a perfect combination! You'll find yourself eating more and more rice.

"Miso-glazed Cod" is plump grilled cod topped with homemade sweet miso, and is delicious with the added aroma of yuzu!

The "Isobe-age Tofu" has a great texture, being fluffy inside and crunchy outside, and the aroma of green seaweed fills your mouth.

The "Japanese-style Potato Salad" is packed with large chunks of potatoes and is very satisfying.

The candied kumquats had soft skin and flesh, and were so delicious that I found myself wanting to drink up the juice.

The cafe menu also includes a wide variety of homemade sweets!

Coffee and tea (each priced at 450 yen) are served in cups made by Seitakegama in Nakagawa City.

There are six types of homemade sweets on the menu, and we ordered the two most popular items: "Apple Tart" (550 yen) and "Crème Brulee" (550 yen).

The "Apple Tart" is a custard tart topped with plenty of cinnamon-flavored apples. It's absolutely delicious when eaten with the accompanying whipped cream.

When you break the crispy surface of the "Crème Brulee" with a spoon, you'll find a creamy custard sauce inside.
