[MUJI] Your ally on busy days! Three rice topping series items to eat in the winter
Hello, I'm Nagisa, a storage and organization advisor. I live with my husband (who is currently working away from home) and two boys (ages 7 and 10). We live in a 3LDK apartment, and on Instagram I share ideas and information on living simply with the things I love.
Recently, Muji's retort series has become increasingly popular.
Among them, the "Rice Spice Series" is a great product that allows you to enjoy the authentic taste of the food you would get at a restaurant. It comes in a wide variety of flavors and is easy to eat, so it's perfect for stocking up on.
So this time, we will introduce three products from the "Rice Spice Series" that are especially recommended for the cold season.
The "Rice Spice Series" is very easy to make!
The "Rice Spoon Series" can be cooked in the microwave or in a hot water bath.
After heating it up, just pour it over rice and you'll have a delicious bowl of ramen!
1: So delicious you won't be able to stop eating! "Sesame Miso Dandan Soup to Pour Over Rice"
First up is the "Sesame Miso Dandan Soup to Pour Over Rice" (180g per serving, 320 yen).
This is a rich meat miso soup that makes use of the fragrant flavor of white sesame and the spiciness of chili bean paste.
The moment you open the bag, you'll be greeted with the faint aroma of pepper and ginger.
It's packed with ingredients like minced pork and bamboo shoots! It goes really well with the soup and rice.
The flavor of the white sesame seeds helps to tone down the spiciness of the doubanjiang and Sichuan peppercorns. It's a flavor that will make you want to eat more and more rice.
It would also be delicious served over noodles or tofu.
2: Plenty of ingredients! "Soondubu Jjigae to put on rice"
This is "Soondubu Jjigae to put on rice" (180g per serving, 320 yen).
This soup is packed with clams and tofu, allowing you to enjoy the authentic Korean flavor.
The ingredients are simmered in a soup made spicy using two types of chili peppers, resulting in a deep flavor that is packed with the umami of seafood.
What's more, adding egg yolk on top makes it even more mellow! It also adds body and makes the flavor milder, making it an addictively delicious dish.
It's packed with ingredients and extremely filling! It's great to be able to enjoy Korean food at home.
3. A big hit with kids too! "Gomtang to put on rice"
And last but not least, "Gomtang to put on rice" (180g per serving, 320 yen).
"Gomtang" is a popular Korean dish made by slowly and carefully simmering beef and green onions in a soup flavored with garlic and sesame oil.
This soup is full of the delicious flavor of beef and has a mellow taste. Garlic and sesame oil add a nice accent to the taste, making it appetizing.
Because it's not spicy, not only adults but children gobbled it up as well! It's great that the whole family can enjoy the same flavor.
There are many other varieties in the MUJI rice topping series. Please try out the different flavors. (Text by Nagisa)
