Stylish and delicious! A popular gift shop with a wide variety of baked goods (Heiwa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who posts information about Fukuoka, mainly about cafes, on Instagram.

This time, we will introduce you to some shops that are perfect for buying a snack for yourself or a gift for a friend.

Eat O'Kashi (Itokashi), a baked goods specialty store where you can find a wide variety of sweets (Heiwa, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

Eat O'Kashi is a baked goods specialty store located about a 2-minute walk from the Nishitetsu bus stop Heiwa 3-chome.

It is open three days a week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

They began selling online and wholesale around the summer of 2020, and began selling in stores in September 2022.

Among their items, the "Canelés" (350 yen) and "Financiers" (300 yen) are baked fresh every morning and are apparently very popular.

The canelés are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a nice vanilla and rum aroma.

Business hours begin at 10:30, but freshly baked canelés and financiers are often ready by around 12 o'clock.

They also have gift boxes (150 yen), so you can have them packed in a box according to your budget.

If you spend over 2,000 yen, you will receive a super cute original paper bag.

Apparently these paper bags can also be purchased for 100 yen.

A variety of delicious baked goods

I'd like to introduce all the sweets, but I'll introduce 5 baked goods that especially caught my eye.

Pound Cake Earl Grey (380 yen)

The moist pound cake was made with plenty of tea leaves, allowing me to enjoy the rich aroma of black tea.

There were also many other flavors available, including salted caramel, orange, chocolate marron, sweet potato, and rum raisin (all 380 yen).

Citron Sable (380 yen)

A sable made with plenty of fresh lemon peel.

The icing, which is made with plenty of lemon juice, gives it a sweet and sour taste. The crispy texture is irresistible!

Herb Cookies Mini (250 yen)

Mini cookies with a rich aroma of thyme and rosemary.

It goes well with the salt sprinkled on top, and is perfect for pairing not only with coffee or tea, but also with wine.

Financier Matcha (350 yen)

Financiers made with plenty of matcha.

It was filled with plenty of red beans and had a luxurious taste that gave off a mix of Japanese and Western flavors.

Apparently, the financiers were made through repeated trial and error to ensure that all the ingredients were baked to the perfect degree.

Marron cake (400 yen)

The dough is made with French chestnut paste and is generously coated with sugar made with rum.

The balance between the moist cake and the crunchy glass arrows is exquisite.

Inside were chunky boiled chestnuts with their skins still on.

Although the alcohol had evaporated, I was able to enjoy the adult flavor.

If you can't go to the store because it's too far away, you can buy these sweets online.
