What we will introduce this time is a sweet supervised by the strawberry sweets specialty store "ICHIBIKO", which will be on sale at Lawson from January 9th, 2024!
This is a collaboration with "ICHIBIKO," which produces and sells strawberry sweets using the most delicious strawberries of the season. This year, the sweets are even more special than last year, so expectations are rising even more...♡
This time we will introduce four collaborative sweets.
1. The chewy dough and strawberry flavor are irresistible ♡ "Uchi Café x ICHIBIKO Doramocchi Strawberry & White Chocolate"
First up is "DoraMochi Strawberry & White Chocolate" (225 yen).
"DoraMochi" is a dorayaki sweet that is extremely popular at Lawson! It goes perfectly with cream and is popular for its delicious fusion of Japanese and Western flavors, and many different varieties have been released to date.
Now, I opened the package with excitement, wondering what Doramocchi, created by a strawberry specialty store, would taste like!
It is characterized by its plump shape compared to typical Dorayaki.
The light pink dough is filled with two types of cream!
The pink one is strawberry cream made with whipped cream and strawberry sauce. You can see sliced strawberry pulp here and there. The white one is white chocolate cream made with fresh cream from Hokkaido, white chocolate, and condensed milk.
When I tried it, the strawberry flavor was stronger than I expected! It almost tasted like I was eating whole strawberries.

It's uniquely named "Hobokurim" because it's "almost all cream." I'm excited to see how much cream is in it...!
The surface of the dough is sprinkled with pink strawberry powder, making it very pretty.
When you break it open, it's filled to the brim with soft pink cream. The amount of cream is amazing! There's also plenty of strawberry pulp in it, which makes it look delicious...♡
When you eat it, the rich sweetness and refreshing flavor of strawberries fill your mouth.
Although the choux pastry is thin, it has a surprising presence when you eat it. It has a crispy and fluffy texture, and the fragrant browning adds a nice accent.

I was surprised at how thick this daifuku dough was! The translucent pink color was beautiful.
Inside the cute, round daifuku is sponge cake, strawberry chocolate mousse with white chocolate, and strawberry jelly.
The daifuku dough is stretchy and has a fun new texture that is similar to mochi and a little bit like jelly!
It goes perfectly with the fluffy sponge cake and the fizzy strawberry chocolate mousse. The rich strawberry jelly adds a rich flavor to the mix.
This is a sweet treat that we would recommend to anyone who is tired of the usual strawberry daifuku.
