Hello. This is the Daily Bread Diary of a bread nerd living in Fukuoka who travels around Japan eating bread.

This time, we will introduce "Rodiura Bakery Hirao Branch" located in Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

Open only three days a week on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! New store "ROJIURA BAKERY Hirao Store" (Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) opening in 2023

Rodiura Bakery Hirao store, which opened in May 2023, is a new store following the Nishijin store, Kuromon store, and Momochihama store.

Rodiura Bakery is famous for its wide variety of breads, made with a special method of long-term fermentation at low temperatures. The bread baked in a German Mibe oven is crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. It is a popular shop that is known to all bread lovers in Fukuoka.

The Hirao store is located about a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station, and is marked by a cute cat sign.

It is located on the first floor of the apartment building.

Hirao store is open three days a week from Friday to Sunday. Please note that it is closed Monday through Thursday (open on public holidays).

When you open the door, you'll see a wide variety of breads lined up, from savory to sweet, as well as baked goods that are perfect for snacks.

Try the bread and baked goods that are only available at the Hirao store!

This time, I bought bread and baked goods that are only available at the Hirao store.

On the left is the "Sour Cherry Danish" (300 yen), and on the right is the "Chestnut and Almond Tart" (260 yen). *Both will be on sale until around April 2024.

The "Sour Cherry Danish" is a crunchy Danish pastry topped with sweet and sour compote of sour cherries and custard. I love the mild-tasting custard from "Rodiura Bakery."

The texture of the Chestnut and Almond Tart's crust is crispy, something you'd only get at a bakery, and it's of very high quality! Rich chestnut cream is poured into the crust, so you can enjoy the chestnut flavor no matter where you bite into it.
