This time, we will introduce you to the best value "lunch buffet" that you can enjoy in the lounge space of one of Fukuoka's most stylish designer hotels!

Reopening in October 2023! Japan's first design hotel "HOTEL IL PALAZZO" (Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)

HOTEL IL PALAZZO is located in Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, a 6-minute walk from Exit 6 of Tenjin Minami Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Nanakuma Line.

Opened in 1989, this is Japan's first designer hotel and was designed by world-renowned Italian architect Aldo Rossi in collaboration with one of Japan's leading interior designers, Shigeru Uchida.

In October 2023, the hotel underwent a complete renovation, incorporating the design and philosophy from when it first opened.

The rooms feature a contemporary design based on white.

This room has high ceilings, is spacious, and has a balcony, so you can enjoy a relaxing break.

The venue where the "Lunch Lunch Buffet" we are introducing this time is the lounge space "EL DORADO" located in the basement.

The hotel's colors of red, blue, and green are used as the base, and the colors are in calm tones to encourage relaxation.

All the furniture, including the tables and chairs, are original.

The design is relaxed and comfortable to sit on.

Also, in the center of the lounge stands the "Golden Facade," which was part of the interior of the bar of the same name, "EL DORADO," designed by world-renowned architect Aldo Rossi.

In front of it is "Dancing Water," an installation work by Shigeru Uchida.

It was such a spectacular view that I couldn't help but stare.

A wide variety of pastry chef-made sweets and chef-made dishes are all-you-can-eat for just 1,900 yen! Lunch buffet at "EL DORADO"

The lounge "EL DORADO" is open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 AM the following morning, and serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, gala dinner, and a bar at different times. It is open to non-guests as well (prices and systems vary depending on the time of day).

Currently, the "Lunch Lunch Buffet" (1,900 yen, two-hour limit, reservations preferred) is held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and offers over 50 types of food and sweets.

Starting Thursday, January 11, 2024, the buffet will change to an "All-Day Dining Buffet" (1,900 yen, two-hour limit, reservations prioritized) available from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.

By the way, guests are free to use the facilities for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner at any time.

What caught my eye the most was the star-shaped donut stand.

The dough was fluffy and I ate it all in one go. The orange and yellow donuts, with their refreshing citrus chocolate and colorful toppings, reminded me of sweets from overseas.

In addition to donuts, there is a wide variety of sweets on offer, all of which are specially made by the hotel's pastry chef.

They use a lot of seasonal ingredients, so you can enjoy different dishes every time you visit.

Each one is small, bite-sized, so you can enjoy comparing different sweets.

All of the dishes were of high quality, and I was surprised to find that I could enjoy them all for the reasonable price of 1,900 yen.
