This time, we will introduce some special sweets that can be enjoyed in a hotel with a slightly more sophisticated atmosphere.

There's even a lovely terrace! "ONO HAKATA -Octo Natura Kyushu-" restaurant in "The Royal Park Canvas Fukuoka Nakasu"

The Royal Park Canvas Fukuoka Nakasu hotel opened in Nakasu, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City on August 4, 2023. Located along the Hakata River, it is just a two-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station (Exit 3) on the Subway Airport Line and Hakozaki Line, making it very accessible.

This time we will be introducing a restaurant inside the hotel: "ONO HAKATA -Octo Natura Kyushu-", which is run by the ONO Group, which operates a variety of restaurants in Fukuoka and Kyoto.

In three areas - the Restaurant and Canvas Lounge on the second floor, and the Rooftop Garden on the third floor - you can enjoy the chef's carefully selected dishes, mainly using ingredients from Kyushu, and desserts that showcase the skills of a top pastry chef.

The different atmospheres of each room are also appealing. The chic restaurant has large windows where you can enjoy the lush greenery.

Located next to the hotel lobby is the cafe bar "Canvas Lounge", which has a terrace overlooking the Hakata River. It has large windows and a very open space.

At night, the lights are dimmed for a moody atmosphere, and you can enjoy a wide range of drinks, including alcoholic beverages.

The Rooftop Garden on the third floor is a soothing space surrounded by trees that change with the seasons. You can forget about the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some extraordinary time here.

Introducing a jewel-like dessert box

Our aim this time was to try the dessert box "Coffret a bijoux" (2,480 yen), of which only 20 are sold per day. It is served from 2pm to 10pm at the Canvas Lounge on the second floor and the Rooftop Garden on the third floor.

Once you place your order, a wooden box will be brought to you.

When you open it, the inside is like a treasure box of sweets! There are 14 kinds of small, bite-sized sweets lined up, all made with plenty of ingredients from Kyushu.

You can order one box per person, and it's also nice that you can share it.

I'd like to introduce some of the sweets that I particularly liked.

Shiraki Farm Special Milk Pudding

This milk pudding had a very smooth texture and went well with the strawberry sauce, making it very delicious.

Alphonso Mango Pudding

This pudding is made with Alphonso mango, known as the "fruit of the gods." It is topped with mango sauce and fresh mango, and is so rich that you'll think it's "the mango" after just one bite!

Hakata Amaou strawberry creme réjeur

A cool dessert made with "Amaou" strawberries. A taste that strawberry lovers will love.

Creme d'Anjou Wild Blueberry Sauce

This cheesecake is made with plenty of fresh cheese and topped with sweet and sour wild blueberries, making it very refreshing! It was light, smooth, and delicious.

Yame matcha fromage mousse

This mousse is made with French cheese called Fromage Blanc and matcha tea from Yame. The slight bitterness of the matcha and the sourness of the cheese were well balanced.

Yamakawa mandarin jelly

The jelly, made with "Yamakawa mikan" mandarin oranges from Miyama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is not too sweet and leaves your mouth feeling light and refreshed after eating.

The package also included two kinds of macarons and muffins, a Basque cheesecake made with Kyushu mascarpone cheese, and financiers.

It's fun and exciting to be able to taste so many different things!

Great value "Free Drink"

You can order drinks individually or choose the "Free Drink" option (90 minutes, 800 yen).

A single drink costs 700 to 750 yen, so if you're drinking more than one drink, the "Free Drink" option is a good deal. You can enjoy all-you-can-drink tea and coffee.

There are four types of tea on the menu: three types of blended tea from Yame City's "Nakamuraen" (single item price 750 yen each) and "Itoshima Izumiya Rokuji Cinnamon Tea" (single item price 750 yen).

You can choose from six types of coffee, including "Coffee" (single item price 700 yen), "Cafe Latte" (single item price 750 yen), and "Espresso Tonic" (single item price 750 yen).

Alcohol can also be enjoyed on its own.
