A new shop that cafe lovers should pay attention to! A stylish shop where you can enjoy exquisite sweets until 10pm (Josui-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

This time, we will introduce you to a stylish cafe that recently opened on Jousui-dori Street in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.

Newly opened on Josui-dori! Stylish cafe "Blanc" (Josui-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

"Blanc" opened on November 4, 2023. The name of the store means "white" in French.

The theme of the restaurant is "Please enjoy as you like." The idea is that "we want customers who come to the restaurant to be able to choose the food they like without worrying about anything. We want them to enjoy the food, the atmosphere, the healing, and a happy time without being bound by anything."

The glass-walled interior of the restaurant lets in plenty of natural light, creating a sense of openness. I recommend sitting by the windows, which are particularly bright.

The restaurant has a chic, adult atmosphere with pale grey tiles. There are six tables in total.

The display case is lined with small sweets. There are about nine different kinds on display at all times, and you can order just one. Takeout is also available.

The recommended item is the "Cake Set" (1,500 yen) which includes three cakes and coffee. You can also change it to a cafe latte for an additional 100 yen, or to a variety of teas for an additional 200 yen.

Here are some of the cakes that were on display in the showcase that day.

blanc (528 yen)

This is the signature dish of the shop, named after the shop itself. It is a rare cheesecake made with cream cheese from Kyushu. As the name suggests, it is pure white and caught my eye even in the display case.

It is filled with champagne and Hyuganatsu cream, giving it a very refreshing taste.

Fleur (528 yen)

A dessert with fruit trapped in white wine jelly.

Underneath the jelly is almond dough and rich vanilla cream. They recommend pairing it with champagne.

Chocolate Raspberry (528 yen)

A cute and popular pink heart-shaped dish ♡

This dish is made with an almond dough base, raspberry seeds, chocolate ganache, and raspberry pulp wrapped in raspberry mousse. It is a sweet that allows you to fully enjoy the sweet and sour taste and the sweetness of chocolate.

Tarte Tatin (528 yen)

A seasonal menu featuring delicious winter apples.

It is made with plenty of caramelized apples and is sandwiched with vanilla cream made with Calvados, an apple-based liquor.

The cookie dough base crumbles easily when you put it in your mouth, creating a fun texture.

Foret Noir (528 yen)

Dark cherries soaked in kirsch (a cherry liqueur) are sandwiched between chocolate mousse and kirsch mousse, with one on top.

This is a sweet, adult chocolate dessert with a slight hint of alcohol.

Food menu too!

In addition to sweets, there is also a meal menu item "Blanc Galette (with minestrone soup)" that can be ordered from 11:00 to 21:00. *The soup may change depending on the season.

There are three types to choose from: "Mushroom cream sauce, egg and cheese" (1,430 yen), "Homemade boiled pork ham, egg and cheese" (1,650 yen), and "Smoked salmon, avocado and cream cheese" (1,650 yen).

For an additional 150 yen, you can also add coffee, orange juice, or oolong tea.

"High Tea" where you can enjoy both food and sweets

There is also a "Josui High Tea" where you can enjoy both food and sweets (reservations must be made the day before, 90 minutes between 11am and 8pm for 3,500 yen).

You can enjoy about 14 different meals and sweets on the menu, including galettes, bagna cauda, parfaits, and macarons. You can also choose one of your favorite sweets from the display case.

In addition to ordering drinks individually, there is also a free-flow option that includes alcohol (2,000 yen for 60 minutes, 3,000 yen for 90 minutes).

They are also accepting reservations for the "Christmas Cake" (5,378 yen) until Saturday, December 16, 2023.

It consists of almond dough, homemade hazelnut praline dough, raspberry pulp, Italian pistachio mousse, raspberry cream, and white chocolate mousse made with French white chocolate.
