A huge piece of cheesecake! "Plenty of Kyoho grapes and Muscat grapes" - a popular autumn parfait (Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Hello. This is Chihilog, a casual blog that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce the autumn-only parfaits from a popular cheesecake specialty store in Kokura.
"Cheesecake Rocca," a Basque cheesecake specialty store that also serves as a cafe (Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)
"Cheesecake Rocca", a Basque cheesecake specialty store, opened in September 2022 inside the popular Italian restaurant "Osteria Caro" in Uomachi, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City.
It is conveniently located, just a two-minute walk from Heiwadori Station on the Kitakyushu Monorail.
The restaurant has tables that seat 2 to 4 people and a relaxed atmosphere.
The hours when you can enjoy the menu at Cheesecake Rocca in the store are 13:00-15:00 (last orders 14:30) on weekdays, and 15:00-17:00 (last orders 16:30) on weekends and holidays. If you order it as a set with the lunch menu at Osteria Caro, you can also order from the cafe menu from 11:30.
Packed with seasonal fruits! A new version of the popular "Cheesecake Parfait"
In addition to the smooth Basque cheesecake, the "Cheesecake Parfait" with a whole piece of cheesecake on top is also popular.
It is made with plenty of seasonal fruits and has a captivating appearance.
Until the end of October 2023, you can enjoy three different types of grape-based desserts.
Shine Muscat Parfait
The thing I was most interested in was the "Shine Muscat Parfait" (1,800 yen).
The cross-sections of Shine Muscat grapes spread across the surface of the glass are beautiful.
Served on top of the glass is a tea Basque cheesecake.
It has a slightly mature taste and melts smoothly in your mouth.
The parfait glass contains muscat jelly, tea ice cream, mixed berries, and granola.
It has an exquisite balance of the refreshing sweet and sour taste of berries and Shine Muscat grapes and the flavor of black tea.
Kyoho grape parfait
The beautiful purple color of the Kyoho Parfait (1,600 yen) will leave you entranced. This parfait also has cut-out pieces of Kyoho grapes spread across the glass.
On top is a plain Basque cheesecake.
The glass contains Kyoho grape jelly, mixed berries, vanilla ice cream, and granola.
I was impressed by how well the rich flavor of the Basque cheesecake went with the Kyoho grapes.
The "Shine Muscat Parfait" and "Kyoho Parfait" are brulee'd right in front of you, making for a truly immersive presentation.
Enjoy the moment the cream melts and the fragrant aroma.
Muscat and Kyoho Grape Parfait
For those who want to enjoy both Muscat and Kyoho grapes, we recommend the "Muscat and Kyoho Parfait" (1,600 yen).
Instead of the cheesecake that usually sits on top of the glass, this one is topped with plenty of fresh cream, muscat grapes, and Kyoho grapes!
The contrast between the green and purple was also very beautiful.
The glass contains plain Basque cheesecake, Muscat and Kyoho grape jelly, mixed berries, vanilla ice cream, and granola.
The cheesecake was rich, but with plenty of fruit and jelly, the overall impression was light and refreshing. It was delicious!
Please enjoy this unique taste that you can only experience now. (Text by CHIHIRO)
