This time, we will introduce the new soft serve ice cream that will be on sale at the Mori no Kiosk located inside the park from September 2023.

ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA: A charming hotel with a fantastic location surrounded by nature (Kashiwara, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)

"ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA" is located in Kashiwara, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. It is a spot filled with nature, located about 30 minutes by car from the center of Fukuoka city.

With the 50th anniversary of the opening of "Aburayama Citizens' Forest" in 2019, the long-loved "Aburayama Citizens' Forest" and "Aburayama Ranch" were united. It was reborn as a new spot operated by JR Kyushu Regional Design Co., Ltd. in April 2023.

It was already a place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends, but the renovation has made it even more enjoyable!

Mori no Kiosk: A shop selling food and original goods

"Mori no Kiosk" is a shop that sells soft drinks, alcohol, snacks, sweets, and miscellaneous camping essentials.

For example, when you're camping and you want a few more snacks or ingredients, you can use it just like a convenience store.

Original ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA T-shirts and other merchandise are also available for sale. They also come in children's sizes, so it's great for parents and children to coordinate their outfits together.

Enjoy soft serve ice cream while taking in the spectacular view

This time, my goal is to try the newly released soft serve ice cream.

You can purchase your ticket at the ticket machine outside the store and pick it up through the small window next to it.

Apparently it's so popular that people line up on weekends.

This is the "Ricotta Soft Cream" (600 yen), which will be released in September.

The cheese that is shaved and sprinkled on top of the generous serving of soft serve ice cream is ricotta salata from ABURAYAMA CHEESE STAND, a cheese specialty shop located in the same facility. Another fun part is being able to watch the cheese being shaved right in front of you.

On top of that, pepper is added as a topping. Topping soft serve ice cream with pepper is a very innovative idea! Your expectations will be building even before you start eating it.

The ricotta salata has a strong salty taste, and stands out even on top of the rich soft serve ice cream. The richness of the cheese and the soft serve ice cream go together perfectly, making for a mellow flavor that's delicious!

At first, I wondered if soft serve ice cream and spices would go well together, but it turned out to be a perfect match! The spicy accent of the pepper was absolutely delicious.
