This time, I'd like to introduce you to some delicious sukiyaki that really impressed me.
Shabuzen Kokura Branch, a shabu-shabu and sukiyaki specialty restaurant beloved by locals (Kajicho, Kokurakita Ward, Kitakyushu City)
Shabuzen Kokura is a beloved local shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant that will celebrate its 33rd anniversary in December 2023.
It is located on the 11th floor of the Daido Life Kitakyushu Building, an 8-minute walk from JR Kokura Station and a 4-minute walk from Kitakyushu Monorail Heiwadori Station.
Upon entering the quaint entrance, you will find spacious table seating to the right.
It can accommodate up to 76 people, and many people have already come to check it out in preparation for the end-of-year party season.
Private rooms can be reserved for 2 or more people, and you can choose between sunken kotatsu and table seating.
There are also rooms with windows overlooking the Ferris wheel at Chacha Town Kokura and Mount Adachi.
You can enjoy meat to your heart's content for 2,450 yen per plate! "All-you-can-eat specially selected Japanese black beef sukiyaki"
The aim of the day was to enjoy the slightly luxurious "All-you-can-eat Special Japanese Black Beef Sukiyaki" (minimum order for two people, 12,000 yen per person). You can enjoy all-you-can-eat thick-cut special Japanese black beef rib roast of A4 class, which costs 2,450 yen per slice.
What's more, as part of "Autumn Appreciation Day," the price will be 8,500 yen (for junior high school students and above) until "Good Meat Day," Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Elementary school students will get it for half price,
The "All-you-can-eat Special Kuroge Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki" comes with specially selected Kuroge Wagyu beef rib roast, a vegetable platter, rice, and pickles.
The first dish arrives presented so gorgeously that you'll want to take a photo!
You can also enjoy all-you-can-eat vegetables carefully selected from all over Japan.
You can have as much rice and pickles as you like, so make sure you go on an empty stomach. You can choose from large, medium, or small portions of rice.
The eggs, which are essential for sukiyaki, are from "Hatanaka Egg Breeding Farm" in Iizuka City. Their rich flavor goes perfectly with the high-quality meat.
Another great thing about Shabuzen Kokura is that the staff will cook your sukiyaki right in front of you, so you can enjoy your meat and vegetables in the best possible condition.
The delicious sizzling sound of the meat being grilled and the mouthwatering aroma will get you excited.
The special sauce is made by hand in each store every day.
I was also enchanted by the beautiful manners of the staff.
It's got plenty of meat and vegetables as well.
The moment you bite into the meat, the fibers softly fall apart and the delicious flavor fills your mouth. The refined flavor of the broth makes it even more delicious!
This was the first time I've ever had such delicious sukiyaki! It was as expected from meat that costs 2,450 yen per slice!
Since it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, I decided to make something extravagant like beef bowl.
I used three slices of meat, each costing 2,450 yen, so the total came to about 7,500 yen...!
The rice was coated in sauce that had absorbed the umami flavor, and the juicy meat and egg yolk added a mellow flavor, making for an absolutely delicious dish.
Refills of meat are served on a flat plate, so you can order as many as you like.
By the way, just like the "All-you-can-eat Special Kuroge Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki," until Wednesday, November 29, 2023, you can enjoy the "Special Kuroge Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki (120g meat)," which normally costs 6,000 yen, for 3,800 yen, and the "Special Kuroge Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki (180g meat)," which normally costs 8,450 yen, for 6,000 yen.
The "All-you-can-eat Special Kuroge Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki" was a very satisfying experience, allowing us to enjoy the exquisite meat to our heart's content.
