Eat before they sell out! [Ministop] Popular Halo-Halo and New Parfait

I'm Masayo Sakamoto, a writer who loves convenience store sweets.

This time, we will introduce Ministop's popular "Halo Halo Fruit Ice Strawberry" and two newly released pudding-style parfaits.

1: Sweet, sour and juicy! "Halo Halo Fruit Ice Strawberry"

First up is the popular "Halo Halo Fruit Ice Strawberry" (410 yen).

The fruit ice is made from juicy strawberries that have been quickly frozen and sliced, then drizzled in condensed milk flavored syrup and topped with a rich, milky "vanilla soft serve ice cream."

First, I enjoyed each flavor. The strawberry ice was rich, with just the right amount of acidity to soothe my tired body from the lingering heat of summer.

The soft serve ice cream has a rich milk flavor and is so delicious you won't be able to stop eating it with a spoon.

When mixed together, the fruit ice and condensed milk flavored syrup mix well together, making it taste like sweet and sour strawberry jam. The soft serve ice cream brings out the flavor of each, making it a perfect combination! It's not too sweet and has a refreshing taste.

This dish is completely different from "shaved ice with strawberry syrup" and features crunchy strawberries as the main ingredient.

2: The delicious combination of pudding and soft serve ice cream! "Smooth Pudding Parfait"

Very popular every year! The "Smooth Pudding Parfait" (410 yen) will be available again this year from Friday, September 8th.

This rich pudding is made with carefully selected ingredients, such as fermented butter from France, which gives it a deep, milky flavor, and eggs that are rich in flavor but have a clean aftertaste, and were developed based on the feedback from chefs and pastry chefs.

It is topped with a layer of vanilla soft serve ice cream and sprinkled with roasted sugar, making it a truly luxurious dessert.

The pudding is just as its name suggests: very soft and super smooth! It's not too sweet, and it's refined. It's so delicious you'll want to keep eating it.

When eaten with the soft serve ice cream, the crunchy texture of the fragrant roasted sugar adds an accent and enhances the sweetness along with the bitterness of the caramel sauce.

There is also a "Tokumori Smooth Pudding Parfait" (581 yen) with twice the amount of pudding, which is recommended for those who want to enjoy even more!

3: A dream collaboration of popular fall sweets! "Dream Combo ~Honey Sweet Potato & Pudding~"

Last but not least, we have the "Dream Combo - Sweet Potato & Pudding" (581 yen), which was released on Friday, September 8, 2023.

A forbidden "warm x cold" sweet! What's more, this is a literal dream combo that brings together two of Ministop's most popular autumn sweets: "Taiwan Sweet Potato Soft Serve," which combines baked Taiwanese sweet potato with soft serve ice cream, and the aforementioned "Smooth Pudding Parfait."

It's a very filling meal, but since it's made up of baked sweet potatoes, I don't feel as guilty about eating something sweet.

Inside the large cup are two slices of warm Taiwanese sweet potato, smooth pudding, and a layer of "vanilla soft serve ice cream," all topped with roasted sugar.

The honey sweet potato has its skin on, but it has little fiber and is easy to eat, and even on its own it is so sweet and full of honey that you'll wonder if it's really a dessert! The smooth pudding has a melting texture, is very soft and crumbles easily, so if you want to eat it on its own, we recommend eating it first.

The soft serve ice cream is consistently delicious, allowing you to taste the richness of the milk, and when eaten all together it is incredibly smooth.

Roasted sugar is slightly bitter and fragrant, and when you eat it you can enjoy the different crunchy textures.

The heat from the sweet potato will cause the soft serve ice cream to melt, so be sure to enjoy the smooth trio of sweet potato, pudding, and soft serve ice cream while you eat it quickly. We recommend eating in.
