Don't miss this collaboration! Lawson x Sarutahiko Coffee "Drinks & Sweets"

I'm Masayo Sakamoto, a writer who loves convenience store sweets.

Lawson is always in the spotlight for its collaborative sweets with various specialty stores. Sweets are a popular item at the convenience store, so the excitement of being able to casually enjoy the flavors of collaborations with specialty stores always builds.

This time, we will introduce four new products, including a drink developed in collaboration with specialty coffee shop Sarutahiko Coffee, which will be released on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. If you love coffee, this is a must-see!

1: Enjoy a unique cappuccino at home! "Sarutahiko Coffee Cappuccino"

First, let's start with the authentic tasting "Sarutahiko Coffee Cappuccino" (218 yen).

Sarutahiko Coffee was founded in Ebisu, Tokyo. The packaging features the design of the Ebisu main store building.

You can only enjoy cappuccino at Lawson, a specialty store that is particular about not only the ingredients but also the roasting and brewing.

When you take a sip, the fruity aroma of espresso coffee spreads softly in your mouth.

You can also taste the sweetness of the milk, and although it has a strong flavor, it has a refreshing taste that you can gulp down easily.

I also bought the already-released "Sarutahiko Coffee Sugar-Free Cafe Latte" (198 yen).

This product contains no added sugar, allowing you to enjoy the natural flavor of the coffee more strongly, making it a timeless drink.

It's a different drink from cappuccino, and you can enjoy the different characteristics of the coffee, so we recommend trying them out to compare them.

2. The swirls are so cute! "Sarutahiko Coffee's swirl coffee roll"

This is the cute-looking "Sarutahiko Coffee Spiny Coffee Roll" (171 yen), which is sold in the bakery corner.

It is made like a roll cake, with a thin coffee-flavored dough spread with a generous amount of coffee cream and rolled up.

It has a soft coffee aroma and flavor, but is also gentle enough for children to eat. It has a fluffy texture, a smooth texture, and a moderate sweetness.

If you're a coffee lover, we recommend eating it with a drip coffee, espresso, or other specialty coffee. The two complement each other perfectly.

3: An exquisite combination! "Sarutahiko Coffee Coffee Anpan with Whipped Cream"

This is the "Sarutahiko Coffee Coffee Anpan with Whipped Cream" (160 yen), which is filled with coffee bean paste.

This palm-sized Western-style bean paste bun will have you smelling the aroma of coffee the moment you open the bag.

The inside of the bean paste bun is filled with coffee bean paste made by adding coffee extract to white bean paste, and plenty of whipped cream!

The bean paste is slightly bitter than expected, and a mellow aroma spreads in your mouth. The bean paste has a smooth texture, which helps to bring together the light whipped cream and moist dough, making this an "anpan for adults" that allows you to fully enjoy your coffee.

The bean paste and whipped cream are nicely sweet, so I think it goes well with sugar-free coffee.

4. Luxurious soft serve ice cream: "Uchi Café x Sarutahiko Coffee Cafe Latte Waffle Cone 160ml"

This drink uses Ethiopian mocha and allows you to enjoy the relaxing aroma of coffee.

With one bite, you can taste the bitterness of the coffee and the richness of the milk together, making it feel like you're drinking a refined caffe latte.

This is a luxurious soft serve ice cream that we recommend for when you want to eat authentic ice cream.

It's nice to be able to enjoy the flavor of a collaboration with a specialty store at home. Enjoy a slightly more luxurious coffee time than usual. (Text by Masayo Sakamoto)
