A luxurious seafood bowl with fish soup and chawanmushi for just 1,300 yen! A notable lunch spot in Takeo that's worth the trip (Saga Prefecture)

Hello. I'm Yuri and I love delicious lunches.

This time, we're heading to Takeo City, Saga Prefecture! We'll introduce you to a seafood bowl restaurant that's worth the trip.

"Kaisendon Nakasa" (Takeo City, Saga Prefecture), a restaurant that is only open during weekday lunch hours

"Kaisendon Nakasa" is located about a 10-minute drive from the Takeo Kitakata IC on the Nagasaki Expressway and a 5-minute walk from JR Kitakata Station.

The restaurant is only open at lunchtime from Tuesday to Friday.

At night, the same restaurant operates as Robatayaki Izakaya "Robata Hiyori" (closed only on Mondays).

Although this restaurant was damaged in the heavy rain disaster in 2021, it was renovated in July 2022! At that time, they started serving lunch in addition to their existing evening hours.

The mark on the pillar at the entrance indicates the water level that reached the site during the heavy rain disasters of 2019 and 2021.

It was far taller than my 4-year-old daughter and just listening to the story was terrifying.

In addition to the counter seats shown in the photo,

There are a whopping 80 seats, including table seats and tatami rooms, so it's very spacious!

They also have semi-private rooms, which makes it convenient for groups and those with children.

Excellent! A luxurious seafood bowl with a heaping serving of fresh seafood and hearty udon noodles

As the name of the restaurant suggests, its specialties are the "Seafood Bowl" (1,200 yen) topped with seven kinds of seafood, and the "Seafood Bowl with Egg Yolk" (1,300 yen).

Other set meals available include the "Shogayaki Set Meal," "Fried Horse Mackerel Set Meal," and "Chicken Nanban Set Meal" (800 yen each), as well as udon dishes such as "Burdock Tempura Udon" (700 yen).

Orders are placed using the touch panel on the table.

This is the "Egg yolk topped seafood bowl with fish soup" (1,300 yen).

The menu is gorgeously presented and extremely fresh, with tuna, bonito, yellowtail, sea bream, salmon, sea urchin, shrimp, and more! As they use seasonal seafood procured that day, the menu changes daily.

There are versions without the egg yolk topping, but personally I recommend trying it with it! The rich, creamy egg goes perfectly with the sashimi soy sauce, making it many times more delicious.

The "fish soup" that comes with the set is also excellent. This time it was sea bream fish soup, but they sometimes use amberjack depending on the season. The rich seafood flavor is irresistible.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it also comes with chawanmushi, making it a great deal!

These are "Meat and Burdock Tempura Udon" (830 yen) and "Chunky Seafood Rice" (460 yen).

The udon was so large that when it was brought to me I couldn't help but ask, "Is this a large serving?"

The noodles were slightly thinner than Fukuoka udon and had a bit more chew, making them smooth and easy to eat.

The burdock tempura is a distinctive dish. Generally, burdock is cut into long, thin strips, but here it is shredded.

Then, we make it into a gigantic tempura, the size of a child's face (laughs).

You can eat it as is and enjoy the crispy, crunchy texture, or you can soak it in soup to soften it.

The bitterness had been removed and it was a big hit with the children.

The mini seafood bowl "Korokoro Seafood Rice" is filled with bite-sized chunks of sashimi♪ It's more filling than it looks! It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating.

Our stomachs and hearts were filled, and both adults and children were very satisfied!
