A newly opened hidden gem cafe where you can spend a relaxing and elegant time (Akasaka, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka) with "excellent scones"

This time, we would like to introduce a hidden cafe that opened on July 1st, 2023.

The British scones are amazing ♡ A hideaway café you'll want to tell everyone about: "Psyche" (Akasaka, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)

"Psyche" is a shop quietly located about a six-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the subway.

This shop offers carefully made British-style scones as well as specialty coffee and tea.

The interior of the store has a chic atmosphere, surrounded by deep green walls.

Both eat-in and take-out are available, and there are six seats in the eat-in area.

No eggs, colorings or preservatives! Specially made scones made with only carefully selected ingredients

I ordered a "cream tea" which combines a set of two scones, jam, and clotted cream (1,200 yen) with a drink of your choice (700 to 1,500 yen).

You can choose your own scones and jams.

On this day, there were five types of scones available: "Plain," "High Cocoa Dark Chocolate," "Earl Grey Royal Milk Tea," "Brazilian Aroma Chocolate Cafe au Lait," and "Molasses Sugar."

Each scone is made using carefully selected ingredients such as domestic wheat, domestic Jersey milk, domestic cane sugar, domestic seaweed salt, and 100% grass-fed butter, and the unique blend brings out the best in each ingredient.

All the scones looked delicious and it was difficult to choose, but I ended up choosing two: "High Cocoa Dark Chocolate" and "Earl Grey Royal Milk Tea."

There are five types of jam: blackcurrant, wild blueberry, morello cherry, raspberry, and peach. I chose peach.

First, I decided to eat the scone as is to enjoy its original flavor.

The "High Cocoa Dark Chocolate" is accented with bittersweet chocolate chips, and the "Earl Grey Royal Milk Tea" is a scone that allows you to enjoy the aroma and flavor of black tea.

The scones are even more delicious when served with the original clotted cream made in-house.

The peach jam was not too sweet and brought out the deliciousness of the scones.

If you want to enjoy more flavors, you can add scones (350 yen), jam (200 yen), and clotted cream (350 yen).

A richly flavored black tea from a long-established British brand

The tea used is from the long-established British brand, "RIDGWAYS." From among the several available, I ordered "HMB Her Majesty Blend," which has the honor of being used by the British Royal Family.

It was served with a very cute teapot cover.

Thanks to the cover, you can enjoy your tea warm until the very end, even if you take your time with your tea time.

The tea is served in a pot, so you can enjoy the first cup as is, and from the second cup onwards you can add milk or sugar, allowing you to enjoy it in a variety of ways.

The tableware is from Wedgwood, a tableware brand beloved by the British royal family, giving you an elegant feel.

In addition to tea, we also offer carefully selected coffee.

Speciality coffee is served in a pot, just like tea.

Jams, tea leaves, and other items can be purchased in-store, so you can enjoy the delicious flavors of the store at home.

Also, take-out scones usually cost from 400 yen each, but if you eat in, you can get a bargain at 350 yen each, regardless of the type.

Psyche is a scone shop that is packed with care. It only opened last month, so it's still a hidden gem that only a few people know about.
