City Dining Kuten is a restaurant zone on the 9th and 10th floors of JR Hakata City, where popular restaurants with long lines from all over Japan, as well as famous local Kyushu restaurants, are lined up.

[Opening August 23rd] Cafe Au Bacanal: Feel like you're in France

Cafe Au Bacanal is based on the concept of "conveying French popular culture" and pursues French style in everything from the interior and cutlery to the menu and service.

It opened today, Wednesday, August 23, 2023, near the central elevator on the 9th floor of City Dining Kuuten.

You can enjoy your meal in a lively and sophisticated atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in France.

Recommended menu

"Souffle Omelette Rice" (1,300 yen) - Rich eggs mixed with meringue and baked until fluffy.

"Stewed hamburger steak and beef stew" (1,300 yen). This dish is only available during weekday lunch hours (until 5:00 p.m.). A luxurious combination that is very satisfying!

"Steak Frites" (2,900 yen). This has been an iconic dish at Au Bacanal since it first opened. It's very filling.

[Opening August 28th] Nishijin Hatsuki is a shabu-shabu restaurant where you can enjoy high-quality meat that only a butcher can offer.

Nishijin Hatsuki is a shabu-shabu restaurant that serves high-quality meat and carefully selected ingredients, as only a historic butcher's shop that was founded in Nishijin in 1934 can provide.

It will open on Monday, August 28, 2023 on the 10th floor of City Dining Kuten.

The shabu-shabu is made with carefully selected Imari beef and other Kyushu brand black wagyu beef. It can be enjoyed not only for dinner but also from lunchtime.

This is the "Japanese Black Beef Shabu-Shabu Lunch Superior Selection" (4,950 yen).

In addition to Japanese Black Beef, the restaurant also offers the "Oita Yabakei Pork Shabu-shabu Lunch" (2,400 yen) and the "Miyazaki Prefecture Red Pork Shabu-shabu Lunch" (2,800 yen).

In addition to shabu-shabu, you can also enjoy sukiyaki at either restaurant.

This is the dinner "Specially Selected Imari Beef Shabu-Shabu Course" (9,000 yen, minimum order for 2 people). You can enjoy the finest selected specially selected Imari beef (A5 rank).

Other dishes you can enjoy include the "Japanese Black Beef Shabu-Shabu Premium Selection Course" (6,000 yen, minimum order for 2 people), the "Kinun Pork and Japanese Black Beef Shabu-Shabu Set Premium Selection Course" (5,500 yen, minimum order for 2 people), horse sashimi, and other a la carte dishes.

The open interior is equipped with private rooms, making it suitable for a variety of purposes, including business meetings, meetings, and banquets.
