This time, I would like to introduce the limited-time menu of one of my favorite cafes, which will make you feel like you're traveling abroad.

Celebrating its 8th anniversary this year! Popular Chinese tea cafe "CHINA CAFE" (Imaizumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)

CHINA CAFE is located in Imaizumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. It is a Chinese tea cafe where you can enjoy authentic Chinese tea from Taiwan and China, various sweets, lunches, and more.

This popular restaurant opened on August 23, 2015, and is celebrating its 8th anniversary this year!

The concept of the shop is "retro China." Inside, you can feel "China" through the cushions and lanterns, making you feel as if you are traveling in Greater China.

Once you've placed your order, you'll be given a numbered stuffed panda dressed in clothing.

Limited time offer! 8th anniversary menu

To celebrate its 8th anniversary, CHINA CAFE is currently offering a limited-time menu (scheduled to run until the end of August 2023).

Sunflower Afternoon Tea

The afternoon tea changes with the seasons. Currently, they offer the "Sunflower Afternoon Tea", which is inspired by sunflowers.

A set with grape tea (iced/hot) is 2,000 yen, and a set with milk tea is 2,200 yen.

The bottom tier has three types of dim sum and two types of sweets.

The dim sum dishes are, from the left, "Sunflower Shumai" filled with fish paste, "Steamed Shrimp Dumplings," and "Shark Fin Dumplings." They are all served piping hot, so we recommend eating them before they cool down.

The desserts were "Passion Mango Pudding" with the fun crunch of passion fruit seeds, and "Melon Jelly Rare Cheesecake" with an irresistible combination of sweet melon and cheese. Both were delicious.

On the top shelf, there is a particularly eye-catching sunflower sweet called "Hyuga Natsu Macaron." It is filled with sweet and sour Hyuga Natsu cream! The sunflower-themed chocolate is also very cute.

Behind it are "Striped Chiffon Cake" and "Grape Tea Cookies & Muscat".

The "Striped Chiffon Cake" is finished with stripes made from grape tea and peppermint, and is extremely refreshing and fluffy! The "Grape Tea Cookies & Muscat" is served on a spoon, allowing you to enjoy both the cookie and the muscat in one bite.

Sunflower parfait set

This is the "Sunflower Parfait Set" (includes grape tea, 1,650 yen).

On top of the parfait is a flag celebrating the 8th anniversary. The panda cookies are also cute.

Below that are candied lemons arranged to look like sunflowers (you can eat the skin too!), sunflower-shaped chocolates, Shine Muscat grapes, edible flowers, and more.

The main dish in the glass is the popular "Mango Pudding". It's so creamy and delicious, you'll definitely not be able to stop eating it! The transparent part at the bottom is a jiggly white peach jelly. It also contains fruits such as melon, mango, and passion fruit, making it a luxurious treat.

The stem of the glass is tied with a cute ribbon, a signature feature of CHINA CAFE, and the plate is decorated with herbs and flowers. This parfait is not only delicious, but also adorable in appearance, making it a very satisfying treat.

Feel free to add the flavor-changing sauces "Honey Lemon" and "White Peach Puree" that come with the dish whenever you like.

The "Grape Black Tea" in the set has a soft grape aroma and a refreshing taste that you can gulp down in one gulp! By the way, the "Milk Tea" that can be selected with the afternoon tea is not too sweet and is also popular.
