This time we will introduce a restaurant that is currently the talk of the town due to a collaboration between two popular restaurants in Fukuoka.

"Fukuya Kawabata store" has been renovated! Soft cream shop "Kadokko KAWABATA" has opened next door (Kamikawabata-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City)

"Fukuya Kawabata Store" will reopen on July 1, 2023. "Kadokko KAWABATA" will be opened as a takeaway soft serve ice cream shop.

Located right next to the south gate of Kushida Shrine, the main shrine of Hakata. As its name suggests, it is located on a corner, and its small, cute exterior catches your eye.

The store is filled with a wide range of Aji no Spicy Fish Eggs Fukuya items.

They sell a variety of popular items, including the popular "Men-Tuna Kankan" (330 yen) and "Gohan Tomaranran" (540 yen), which are perfect for your daily meals as well as popular souvenirs.

Although it's a small store and doesn't stock a large variety of items, it does have a wide selection of popular items, making it convenient.

To the right of the entrance is the "Kadokko KAWABATA" soft serve ice cream sales counter.

You can purchase four types of cup-style soft serve ice cream here: "Hakata Rocher Sundae" (594 yen), "Vanilla Soft Serve" (380 yen), "Fukuoka Amaou Sauce Sundae" (480 yen), and "Yame Matcha Sundae" (480 yen).

The "Hakata Rocher Sundae" made under the supervision of a chocolate shop is delicious!

This time, I tried the popular menu item at "Kadokko KAWABATA", the "Hakata Rocher Sundae".

This sundae was created under the supervision of "Chocolate Shop," a long-established Western-style confectionery store in Fukuoka that was founded in 1942. The cup has the "Chocolate Shop" logo on it.

The vanilla soft serve is topped with a generous amount of Chocolate Shop's milk rocher, cocoa powder, and caramel sauce, giving it an incredibly refined taste and making it delicious...!

It was rich but not overly sweet, making it perfect for a hot day.
