Rich and delicious ♡ "The plump pudding made with specially selected eggs is exquisite" A stylish cafe near Chihaya Station (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)

Hello. I'm Ayu.latte, a writer who loves cafes. I love cafes so much that I've been to over 1,600 cafes in total.

This time, we will introduce a wonderful cafe that opened in Chihaya, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City.

A stylish wine-colored space! Cafe Aimer (Chihaya, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City) with a nostalgic atmosphere

"Aimer" opened on July 6, 2023.

It is a 5-minute walk from JR Chihaya Station, on the first floor of a building along Chihaya Namiki Street.

The store's name, "Aimer," means "loved" in French.

The name was chosen with the image of a "long-loved coffee shop" in mind.

The interior of the store is unified in a striking wine-like color, chosen to create a "retro" image.

The interior is simple and modern, yet stylish with a nostalgic feel, including a brown carpet and rattan chairs that are inspired by the "mid-century modern" style.

The sofa seats are especially recommended.

Boasting home-roasted coffee

All coffee served at Aimer is roasted in-house, and there is a large roasting machine near the entrance of the store.

The beans are displayed before and after roasting, so it's fun to see the changes! The flavors are also displayed in a chart, which makes it easy to understand.

The beans can be purchased in stores, and there is a wide lineup. There is also a "Latte Base" (1,200 yen) that you can use to make cafe latte at home.

The packaging is simple yet sophisticated, making it a perfect gift.

The espresso machine is also brown, which gives it a unified look and makes it very nice.

This is "Cold Brew" (500 yen), which is made by steeping coffee beans in water. It produces less oil than coffee brewed in hot water, and the richness and aroma are more pronounced. It had a clean, refreshing taste.

"Drip Coffee" (500 yen) is served in a cute cup with the store's name on it. The type of beans changes regularly, so be sure to ask.

Be sure to check out the refreshing "Cinnamon Ginger Soda"

Aside from coffee, my favorite is the "Cinnamon Ginger Soda" (700 yen), which is made by mixing homemade ginger syrup with carbonated water, topped with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon powder.

It had a nice spicy kick from the ginger and was very refreshing and delicious.

You can drink soda while eating ice cream, or you can let it melt and drink it! Find your favorite way to drink it.

I want to try all three types of sweets

There are three types of sweets that are essential to accompany your drink.

This is the "Hard Pudding Made with Ran'ou Tamago" (380 yen).

As the name suggests, it's a "hard pudding," and I was surprised that it didn't budge when I shook it with a spoon! It has a firm, chewy texture, and is simply rich and delicious.

This is "Cold-brewed coffee jelly made from dark roasted Brazilian beans" (380 yen).

It's refreshing, but also has a slight bitterness from the dark roasted beans, and when mixed with the fresh cream it's an exquisite treat! It was very delicious.

There is also a "Rich Cheese Terrine with a Rum Scent" (480 yen), which I'm also very interested in.

Coffee subscription available

Aimer offers two types of coffee subscriptions. To celebrate the opening, they will be available at special prices until October 7, 2023.

The "A Plan" (4,000 yen per month, opening special price 3,500 yen) allows you to enjoy up to one cup of drip coffee or cold brew per day.

The "B Plan" (4,800 yen per month, opening special price 4,300 yen) allows you to enjoy up to one drink of your choice per day from any drink (seasonal drinks excluded), and also offers a 10% discount on desserts when eating in.

Both plans are only available on weekdays, but they include "drip coffee" and "cold brew" (500 yen each), so if you drink more than eight cups a month, it's a good deal!

"I want our store to have an atmosphere as if it has been around for a long time, like a Möbius strip, where we love our customers and are loved by them," says the store manager.
