The only one in Kyushu! Shonan Pancake Fukuoka Island City Store, a fluffy and creamy pancake shop originating from Shonan (Kashii Teraha, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City)

Shonan Pancake has its flagship store in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and currently operates 11 stores nationwide, including its own stores.

This extremely popular shop is known for its fluffy and creamy pancakes, which are made using carefully selected ingredients such as Shonan wheat, which is said to be the forerunner of Japanese wheat, and meringue made fresh to order, mixed together to ensure a fluffy texture before being baked.

The only place in the Kyushu area where you can eat these pancakes is Shonan Pancake Fukuoka Island City Store.

Take the Nishitetsu bus from JR Chihaya Station and get off at "Fukuoka City General Gymnasium" or "Island Eye". It's about a minute away. There is a large parking lot, so it's convenient to come by car.

The entrance is black for a chic look, and the turquoise blue logo is refreshing!

The interior of the store is decorated with wood as the main theme, and is decorated with sunset photos and surfboards, creating a stylish atmosphere.

The aroma of black tea! Our recommended "Royal Milk Tea Pancakes"

This time, I ordered the shop's recommended menu item, "Royal Milk Tea Pancake" (3 pieces for 1,390 yen) and "Shonan Lemonade" (560 yen). You can also choose two pancakes (1,160 yen).

The fluffy pancakes are thick and impressive! They are served with plenty of fresh cream.

The fluffy texture you feel the moment you put the knife into it is amazing.

The sweetness that spreads the moment you put it in your mouth and the melting texture are amazing!

The pancakes themselves are just the right amount of sweet, and the fresh cream is not too sweet or cloying, so you can eat as many as you like.

Dip the pancakes in the milk tea sauce underneath and they become even more delicious!

The original maple syrup is blended with brown sugar, giving it a rich flavor that's sweet at the same time! We recommend adding some of it halfway through to change the flavor.

I was a bit worried if I would be able to finish all three, but they were so delicious that I ate them all in no time!

A full menu of food other than pancakes

In addition to pancakes, the restaurant also offers a wide variety of food options, including "Steak Curry" (1,580 yen), "Mexican Chicken Jambalaya" (1,280 yen), "Grilled Steak Bowl" (1,580 yen), and "Hamburger Loco Moco" (1,350 yen).

It's also nice that they have a kids' menu, including the "Kids Plate" and "Drawing Pancakes" (720 yen each, includes one drink *for ages 9 and up).
