"Fukuoka's proud soul food" for just 350 yen! "Imaya"'s juicy handmade "hamburger" with plenty of ingredients [Fukugo Daisuke's Fukuoka Bread Life #32]
Hello Pannichi! Today, we will continue our wonderful "Fukuoka Bread Life" theme by bringing you the latest bakery information and recommended products.
This time, we will introduce you to the eternal youth soul food that Fukuoka is proud of.
Our destination is the cute retro food truck at the observation deck of Nishi Park!
The hot dogs at Imaya in Nishi Park (although they are listed as hamburgers on the menu, let's call them hot dogs) are a taste of youth that every Fukuoka resident has had at least once. They're cheap, tasty, and filling. They're the perfect soul food to give you energy any time of the day.
The owner, Mr. Imazaki, is particular about using handmade ingredients and healthy ingredients as much as possible. He has been running the restaurant for 44 years. At 74 years old, he is still going strong. He efficiently handles the orders that come in one after the other.
The view of Hakata Bay from the observation deck where Imaya is located is spectacular! This view is also one of Imaya's treats. There are toilets and restaurants nearby. It's a great place to come for a walk.
Times may change, but "Imaya" remains the same. We offer the best hospitality with our heartfelt sincerity!
Imazaki runs the shop by himself, so you may have to wait your turn when it's busy.
Sit on a bench and relax while enjoying the beautiful view.
By the way, you can also make reservations by phone in advance, so make a reservation if you are in a hurry (although we may not be able to answer the phone when we are busy).
When it comes to Imaya, their specialty is undoubtedly their plump and juicy handmade hamburger steak.
They carefully bake each one to order.
The addictive taste is full of Imazaki's love. The crispy bread is from the nearby Tojin Bakery.
May the hot dog of Fukuoka people's youth last forever!
(Top) The most popular item is the "Frankfurter Egg Cheese" (500 yen).
(Top) Simple yet best: "Hamburger" (350 yen).
(Top) "Mixed Burger" (400 yen): Recommended for meat lovers.
Both dishes have a generous base of stir-fried cabbage and minced meat.
"The price hasn't changed at all. Lots of children and students come too." The fact that they've been able to offer the same price and content for over 40 years is impressive.
"We've been coming here for quite some time now. We look forward to coming as a couple. We always prepare like this (by bringing our own coffee and mugs) to make sure we have the best possible experience." These heartfelt words from a happy couple, who are regular customers, summed up everything about Imaya.
"Imaya's flavor is filled with sincerity." It is the crystallization of Imazaki-san's sincerity and soul. May Nishi Park's specialty soul food live forever! (Text by Furugo Daisuke)
