A popular yakiniku restaurant where reservations are impossible to get! "The surprising bowl of rice that requires a reservation the day before is also a must-try" Recommended menu revealed (Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce you to a very popular yakiniku restaurant located in Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.
Hirao's popular yakiniku restaurant "Charcoal Grilled Yakiniku Bar AGITO HIRAO" (Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
"Sumibi Yakiniku Bar AGITO HIRAO" is located about a 2-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station.
Since opening in April 2018, the owner's keen eye for food and original creative dishes have earned him a reputation, making this a popular restaurant where reservations are difficult to get.
Once inside the restaurant, you'll find stylish counter seats where you can casually enjoy charcoal-grilled yakiniku.
There are also sofa seats where you can relax.
Introducing the Italian-themed menu! Recommended menu items
Every time I visit I am amazed by the high quality of the menu, which has been carefully selected down to the last detail, from the yakiniku menu to the side dishes, desserts and drinks.
When we visited this time, new menu items were available! We will introduce the menu items we ordered this time, along with the standard recommended menu items.
Amazing thick-sliced tongue
The dish I always order is the "Amazing Thick-Sliced Tongue" (3,289 yen).
It has the softest texture of any tongue I have ever eaten.
All unnecessary parts are scraped off and only the rarest parts of the tongue are used. The soft, fluffy elasticity is irresistible.
This is an unbelievable service menu for this quality at this price!
Agito's Minced Cutlet
A new menu item is "Agito's Minced Cutlet" (759 yen).
Made with 100% high-quality beef carefully selected by the yakiniku restaurant, this minced meat cutlet is meaty and completely free of any additives.
The seasoning is light so that the flavor of the meat stands out. With one bite, the juicy flavor of the meat fills your mouth.
This menu conveys the owner's desire to "enjoy the pleasure of stuffing your cheeks with a large minced meat cutlet to the fullest!" The volume of the dish is also appealing.
Beef tenderloin cutlet
This is "Beef Tenderloin Rare Cutlet" (1,419 yen).
The reason for using sagari in this dish is that it is suitable for deep frying and remains soft even when cut thick.
It was incredibly delicious, and you could really taste the flavor of the hanging tenderloin.
Grilled Wagyu beef sashimi
"Seared Wagyu Sashimi" (1,529 yen) is made from specially selected red beef seared over charcoal and then seared.
The rich yet refreshing flavor of the "kurimi" cut is enjoyed with sashimi soy sauce.
It has an addictive taste that's so good you'll want to eat it again and again.
Garlic shrimp salad
Agito Hirao has many dishes that allow you to enjoy shrimp, and is currently offering a salad that makes the most of the deliciousness of high-quality shrimp.
The new "Garlic Shrimp Salad" (1,309 yen) was a dish that built up anticipation as its appetizing aroma reached the table even as it was being prepared in the kitchen.
The combination of the delicious, plump shrimp and the fresh, crunchy vegetables was absolutely delicious.
Raw shrimp with burnt mayonnaise
Another shrimp dish that you should try at least once is "Raw Shrimp with Scorched Mayonnaise" (1,529 yen).
The firm texture of the shrimp goes perfectly with the mellow, fragrant burnt mayonnaise and special sauce.
In fact, this dish was inspired by sushi that the gourmet owner was impressed with when he visited a high-end conveyor belt sushi restaurant.
It's a taste that's sure to become addictive.
Assortment of 4 rare cuts
The "Assortment of 4 Rare Cuts" allows you to enjoy the rare cuts recommended that day (regular: 2 pieces of each type for 2,959 yen, large: 3 pieces of each type for 4,499 yen).
On this day, the dishes were "Kainomi," "Shinshin," "Kurimi," and "Lamp."
Kainomi, a type of kalbi, has fat in it but still has a light and tender texture!
"Shinshin" is a very tender part of the thigh meat, and can be enjoyed even when cut thick.
The meat from the arm, "Kurimi," has some marbling but is lean and has a rich flavor.
The meat from the buttocks, known as the "rump", is soft and lightly flavored, and apparently it's a cut that the owner particularly likes!
Shrimp and mushroom ajillo, Skipper and green onion ajillo
The new Italian-style menu is also noteworthy.
"Gizzard shad and spring onion ajillo (with baguette)" (1,089 yen) is a flavorful dish that combines large pieces of gizzard shad and spring onion perfectly.
"Shrimp and Mushroom Ajillo (with baguette)" (1,199 yen) is a dish that will surprise you with the large, bouncy shrimp and mushrooms.
The oil is packed with flavour and is delicious when dipped into baguette.
Morioka cold noodles
What impressed me the most was the final dish, "Morioka Reimen" (regular 1,199 yen, half 869 yen), which I tried for the first time.
The soup is made using a combination of meat and seafood stock, and while it is rich and flavorful, it is also light and easy to enjoy.
The flavorful noodles, delivered directly from Morioka, are also excellent.
It was such a masterpiece that I couldn't help but exclaim, "I want to go there just to eat the cold noodles!"
Seafood bowl at a yakiniku restaurant
The "Yakiniku Restaurant Seafood Bowl" (2,189 yen) requires a reservation by the day before.
This bowl, topped with sea urchin, shrimp, scallops, salmon roe, and wagyu beef, is a must-try when you visit Agito. The quality is just like you would get at a high-class restaurant!
Beneath the ingredients is mixed rice with seaweed, sesame seeds, and shiso leaves.
Please make a reservation and go out.
Kyo-chan's meat sucking
Another dish that impressed me was "Kyo-chan's Niku-sui" (759 yen).
Chef Shinchi came up with a dish using beef tendon, and it was so delicious that the dish was named after Shinchi, "Kyo-chan."
The tender beef tendons and flavorful broth are truly impressive!
This is a yakiniku restaurant where you can experience a taste that you will never forget. Please be sure to visit. (Text by CHIHIRO)
