[Starbucks New Release Report] Just like lemon cake! We tried the "Setouchi Lemon Cake Frappuccino"
Starbucks' new beverage, the Setouchi Lemon Cake Frappuccino (R), has been attracting attention even before its release, due to its lemon flavor that's perfect for the upcoming season.

The perfect taste for early summer! Starbucks' new beverage "Setouchi Lemon Cake Frappuccino (R)"
The Setouchi Lemon Cake Frappuccino (R) was released on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. It is only available in tall size and costs 690 yen for in-store consumption and 678 yen for takeaway.
When you take a bite, the taste and even the texture are just like lemon cake.
In fact, the base of the drink is made by blending milk, lemon peel sauce, and a whole lemon cake, which was developed to be perfectly compatible with a Frappuccino (R).
The whipped cream on top is topped with lemon icing sauce and lemon-flavored pearl sugar.
You can really taste the bitter lemon peel and the crunchy texture and flavor of the lemon cake icing. The crunchy texture of the pearl sugar is also a nice accent.
What's more, 75% of the lemon ingredients used are from Setouchi, which has a high sugar content and a gentle acidity.
Rather than a lemon drink, it feels like you're drinking lemon cake! It really is a lemon cake (my vocabulary is lacking...).
It was a very satisfying drink, perfect for early summer.
Bring your own tumbler or mug and get a 22 yen discount on in-store purchases! Anyone can join the "Tumbler Club" on the day of your purchase.
The Tumbler Club was launched on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the same day as the release of the Setouchi Lemon Cake Frappuccino (R).
The condition for joining is to "enjoy using tumblers!" No special procedures are required, and as soon as you start using a tumbler or mug, you'll be a member of the tumbler club, or "TUMBLers," from the very first drink you take.
TUMBLers always offers a 22 yen discount on in-store purchases and a 21 yen discount on takeaway! Until Friday, June 30, 2023, as part of a "welcome club event," you can enjoy a 55 yen discount on in-store purchases and a 54 yen discount on takeaway.
What's more, the tumblers and mugs you bring don't have to be from Starbucks!
Please wash and bring a tumbler that matches the size of the drink you will be ordering (Short 240ml / Tall 350ml / Grande 470ml / Venti (R) 590ml). *Tumblers purchased on the day can be washed at the store. *The capacity of each size is a guideline.
After that, just remove the lid and hand it over when ordering.
Once you receive it, all you have to do is put the lid on and enjoy!
Basically, any drink is OK, including Frappuccino (R). You can enjoy it in the store, take it out, or through the drive-thru (may not be available when it is crowded).
*This service cannot be used with bottled drinks such as mineral water and juice, pot service, coffee traveler, and other non-eligible products at some stores. It is also currently not available for mobile order and pay or delivery.
In addition, a special web page was set up during the "Summer Camp" to count the total number of times that a personal tumbler was used at stores across the country.
If a total of 300,000, 500,000, and 700,000 cups are served by June 2023, up to three gift campaigns will be held, one each for each milestone (details of the campaigns will be announced on July 1, 2023).
There are still a few days until the deadline at the end of June, but the number of cups used has already exceeded 700,000! We are excited to see what the three giveaways will bring.
