Higher quality than expected! "The soft serve ice cream made with milk from Itoshima is also delicious" Cafe inside the zoo and botanical gardens (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)
Hello! I'm hicho_cafe, who introduces cafes in Fukuoka on Instagram.
This time, I'd like to introduce you to a cafe that only a few people know about.
You can visit even if you haven't entered the zoo! Café Rassembler at Fukuoka Municipal Zoological and Botanical Gardens (Minami Park, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
Café Rassembler is located within the free admission area of Fukuoka City Zoo.
It is located outside the reception desk, so you can use it even if you do not have an admission ticket.
Some of the seats are decorated with zebra and leopard prints, giving the place a zoo-like atmosphere.
The store's interior, which has won design awards both in Japan and abroad, including Japan's Store Design Award 2019 and the United States' International Design Awards, is based on the theme of "Blessings from an Oasis" and is a space where you can enjoy the wonderful design from any seat.
On nice days, we recommend eating on the open terrace.
There are about 170 seats inside and on the terrace.
There is a gift shop on-site, so you can have a look around while you wait for your meal, making the time worthwhile.
Don't miss the adorable "Tsushima Wildcat Niwaka Senbei" (620 yen), which can only be purchased here!
A variety of locally produced dishes using ingredients from Fukuoka
The most popular dish at the restaurant is the "Hanamidori Karaage" (450 yen), which uses a brand of beef raised in Kyushu.
Each piece of fried chicken is large and juicy, and is sure to be a favorite of children and adults alike.
"Game Croquette" (400 yen) is a luxurious croquette made with plenty of deer and wild boar caught in Tagawa City.
Fukuoka Prefecture is promoting efforts to make effective use of captured birds and animals as gibier, as a measure to prevent damage to agricultural, forestry, and fishery products caused by wild birds and animals.
*The purpose of promoting gibier cuisine is to popularize the cuisine and increase consumption, as well as to promote understanding of the prefecture's bird and animal damage prevention measures among the prefecture's residents.
Please try these croquettes that are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
"Carbonara Pasta" (1,000 yen a la carte, 1,150 yen with a drink) is a delicious combination of rich carbonara sauce and the savory flavors of bacon and pepper.
"Hanamidori Bolognese Pasta" (1,000 yen a la carte, 1,150 yen with a drink set) is a dish made by stir-frying minced Hanamidori chicken and aromatic vegetables in olive oil, accented with garlic and cheese.
This is an attractive pasta dish that allows you to enjoy the delicious flavor of Hanamidori chicken.
Both dishes use a wide variety of fresh pasta called "fettuccine," which goes well with the sauce.
If you want to share with family or friends, we recommend the "Margherita Pizza" (1,300 yen)!
When you hear about a café in a zoo, you might imagine a simple menu, but the pizza here is made from scratch, stretched from scratch and carefully baked in an oven, one by one.
The chewy Margherita pizza had a simple yet timeless flavor.
They also provide chairs and tableware for children, so it's nice that it's easy to share the food.
The perfect sweets for the upcoming hot season
My personal top recommendation is the "Ito Monogatari Soft Serve Ice Cream" (450 yen).
A very rich soft serve ice cream made from milk produced in Itoshima.
You can choose between a cup or a cone, but the cone with bamboo charcoal powder is sure to look great in photos.
There was also a cute, zoo-like "Penguin Monaka Ice Cream" (400 yen).
They also sell "muffins" (450 yen) that are perfect as souvenirs. These muffins are apparently made by hand every morning!
This is a high-quality cafe that you wouldn't expect to find inside a zoo or botanical garden. Why not take the family for a visit? (Text by Hicho_cafe)
