This time, we will introduce an Italian restaurant that has opened in Munakata City.

Creativo, a specialty Italian food and sweets shop (Munakata City)

Creativo opened on June 1, 2023 in Takuma, Munakata City, along Prefectural Route 97. It is an Italian restaurant and sweets shop.

The now 28-year-old owner-chef has been realizing a dream he has had since he was 18: "I want to have my own restaurant by the time I'm 30." He chose Munakata City because of his connections with producers and local people, and the quality of the ingredients.

The chef's cooking is characterized by a wide variety of combinations, which is why he named the restaurant "creativo," which means "creation," in Italian.

The interior of the store is based on the concept of "in the forest." Wood is used throughout, and the store is decorated with greenery and dried flowers. It has been created into a stylish space with creativity.

Exquisite Italian cuisine that makes the most of the ingredients' flavors

This time, I visited during lunch time. Reservations are taken in two sessions, from 11:00 and 13:00.

I got so excited seeing such a huge focaccia on the counter!

The one I was looking for was the "Lunch Set" (1,500 yen), which comes with an appetizer, salad, homemade soup, homemade bread, and a choice of pasta.

You can add a drink for an additional 100 yen, or a dessert for an additional 300 yen.

On this day, I ordered a drink and dessert.

The first thing that was brought out was a drink, homemade soup, and homemade focaccia bread.

The soup for the day was "Cold Corn Soup". The coarsely strained corn soup was topped with olive oil. It went perfectly with the focaccia!

Next, the appetizers and salads were brought out. They were so colorful! The appetizers and salads change daily.

I'll introduce what's going to be on today.

The salad made with sweet oranges uses not only the flesh but also the peel, making it very refreshing! It is also accompanied by carrot rapée. The fresh tomatoes, purchased from a farm in Fukutsu, are served without any seasoning. I was surprised at how sweet they were!

The "low-temperature cooked chicken breast" was very tender. You could really taste the flavor of the ingredients, and it was delicious.

The liver pate was generously spread on thinly sliced bread, and the pink pepper was a nice accent.

"Frittata made with burdock root." Frittata is an Italian dish similar to quiche, but without the tart dough. It is cooked to bring out the flavor of the burdock root. The aroma and chewy texture of the burdock root are irresistible.

It's hard to decide which one to choose! Attractive pasta

There are always about four types of pasta to choose from for the "Lunch Set." In addition to the daily "Pasta of the Day," you can also choose upgraded pasta for an additional fee.

This is my favorite "Amatriciana" (plus 100 yen).

This pasta dish is made with a delicious tomato sauce simmered together with chunky onions, bringing out the flavor of the bacon.

To finish it off, they add sweet fresh tomatoes and onions to give it a sweet, fresh flavor.

It was so refreshing that I finished it in no time!

This is "Young Chicken Thigh Cream" (plus 200 yen).

The sauce, made with fresh cream from Ohm Dairy in Omuta City, is rich and creamy! It has a subtle sweetness that will have you coming back for more♡ It's full of young chicken and shimeji mushrooms, so it's very satisfying.

You can also get a large portion of pasta for an additional 200 yen.

The dessert for the day was cheesecake. The sweetness was enhanced by the addition of salt.

During dinner service starting at 6pm, you can order pasta (from 800 yen) as well as appetizers, hot dishes, desserts and other a la carte dishes.

They plan to start offering courses (starting from 4,000 yen) in the future (check Instagram for launch dates). They are also considering selling sweets.
