This time, we will introduce a hamburger shop with a great view that opened in Kitakyushu City in February 2023.

RED BRIDGE is a burger dog cafe located in Kawashiro, Tobata Ward, Kitakyushu City.

The landmark is this sign. It is designed like a face, with a red bridge for the mouth.

Actually, this place is very close to the Wakato Bridge, with the sea right in front of you! It is a 4-minute walk from the Tobata Ferry Terminal of the Wakato Ferry that travels between Tobata and Wakamatsu, and is part of the Tobata Seafarers Service Center.

Basically, it opens at 11:00 and closes at 14:30 from Tuesday to Saturday and 16:00 on Sundays, but from July 2023, it will open as a "night cafe" from 19:00 to 21:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy the illuminated Wakato Bridge.

"Burger Dog" is a hamburger shaped like a hot dog

This cafe is run by a couple whose hobby is traveling abroad. They have been eating hamburgers in various countries around the world, and their love for hamburgers led them to open a specialty shop. They decided to serve "burger dogs" that are shaped like hot dogs, as they found them to be the easiest to eat.

First up is the most popular "Red Bridge Burger Dog" (1,090 yen by itself). You can get a drink set for an additional 300 yen, or a fries and drink set for an additional 500 yen.

This is a luxurious hamburger containing spaghetti Napolitana, hamburger steak, egg, diced bacon, and plenty of cheddar cheese (twice the usual amount, compared to other restaurants!).

The bread is original and baked by a relative with experience in baking!

It's moderately firm, but not too hard, just the right firmness.

Of course, it goes perfectly with the ingredients. There's plenty of ingredients, and they don't clash with each other, so it's delicious no matter where you eat it. The sweet sauce gives it a nice balance.

This is the slightly luxurious "Dice Steak Dog" (1,390 yen). *The photo below shows a set of fries and a drink for an additional 500 yen.

As the name suggests, it is a sandwich of diced steak. Underneath that is a generous amount of steak and onion sauce (if you don't like onions, you can leave it out).

The meat was so tender! I was so surprised that my eyes widened♡ And the steak sauce was so tasty that I finished it in no time!

Other dishes on the menu include the "Monterey" (590 yen), which uses bacon, potatoes, and cheese, "Hamburger Cheese," "Hamburger Egg," and "Bacon Egg" (690 yen each), and "Hamburger Egg Cheese" and "Bacon Egg Cheese Neapolitan" (790 yen each).

There are also sweet dishes on the menu, such as "An-butter" and "Maple Cheese" (590 yen each). Both are irresistible with their sweet and salty taste.

This is "Maple Cheese." It is topped with plenty of cheese and maple syrup.

The black pepper sprinkled on top adds a nice accent, and the sweet maple syrup makes it taste almost like pancakes.

They also have "Maple Ice" (790 yen), which is sliced bread put into a cup and topped with ice cream and maple syrup.
