A popular shop with long queues! "About an hour's drive from central Fukuoka" - Exquisite dorayaki worth going out of your way to buy (Ukiha City)

Hello. I am Yorimichi, the owner of the blog "Yorimichi's Fukuoka Introduction," which introduces delicious restaurants in Fukuoka.

This time, we will introduce you to a very popular dorayaki specialty store in Ukiha City.

You'll definitely have to queue! The hugely popular dorayaki specialty shop "Kichikoko" (Ukiha City)

Kichikoko is located in Yoshii-cho, Ukiha City, an area known for its white-walled streets.

This is a take-out only dorayaki specialty store located inside the Tourist Hall Kura, which has all the tourist information for Ukiha City.

The photo above was taken at a perfect time when there was no one there, but most of the time there is always a line, and some people even give up and go home.

Business hours are from 12:00 to 17:00, but the store closes once all items are sold out, so it is recommended to visit early.

Many unique flavors! Exquisite dorayaki

In addition to the room temperature "Chestnut Dora" (230 yen each) and "Red Bean Paste" (210 yen each), the display case also has a wide selection of "Dora Cakes" which must be refrigerated.

The lineup is unusual for dorayaki, with items such as "Caramel Pudding" (290 yen each), "Strawberry Fresh Cream" (270 yen each), "Salted Butter" (230 yen each), "Tiramisu" (270 yen each), "Eclair" (290 yen each), "Apollo" (290 yen each), "Red Bean Paste and Mascarpone" (270 yen each), "Paris Chocolate" (270 yen each), "Pistachio" (310 yen each), "Basque Cheese" (290 yen each), and "Matcha Terrine" (310 yen each)!

They all look delicious.

Many people buy dozens of pieces at once, and while I want to scream out "Stop it! It'll sell out!", the more people buy, the more delicious it must be, and my expectations grow. Depending on the product, they may be replenished midway through the sale.

After much deliberation, I decided to purchase two this time: "Pistachio" (310 yen each) and "Strawberry Fresh Cream" (270 yen each).

You'll want to eat as many as you can! Try the "Dora Cake"

Now, take it home and try it!

The catchphrase written on the paper bag, "The float is not far away," is also lovely.

Although the size is not that big, both are filling and very satisfying!

Let's start with Pistachio.

Amazing. Sooooo good!

The generous amount of pistachios sprinkled on top of it just explodes in your mouth. The flavor is just amazing.

This was a pleasant surprise. I thought it would have a more faint scent.

Next, the "Strawberry Fresh Cream" is also delicious. The slightly sweet fresh cream and the slightly sour strawberries go perfectly together.

It's no wonder that many people buy them in bulk. You can munch on these while having a drink in hand.

If you visit Ukiha, be sure to take a detour! (Text by Yorimichi)
