Irresistibly fluffy and creamy! Enjoy the exquisite omelet rice at the French restaurant inside the "Yagi Farm" (Itoshima City)
Hello! I'm ayu.latte, a writer who loves delicious food.
This time, we will introduce you to a restaurant in Itoshima City where you can eat delicious omurice.
The French restaurant "Itoshima Dompierre" (Itoshima City) with a great atmosphere will be relocating to the "Itoshima Goat Farm" in January 2023!
"Itoshima Don Pierre" is located on the grounds of "Itoshima Goat Farm."
This is the Itoshima branch of Ginza Perignon, a French restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo.
Previously, the store was located in "Itoaguri" in the same city of Itoshima, but it relocated and reopened on January 20, 2023. The reason for this was that the store started manufacturing and selling puddings made with milk from the "Itoshima Goat Farm."
This quaint building is located within the vast grounds of the Itoshima Goat Farm. At this time of year, the well-maintained garden and the young leaves of the surrounding trees are dazzling.
There is a cute noren curtain at the entrance.
The store also has an irori hearth and a tea room.
The living room, veranda, and bay window can also be used to create a spacious dining space.
This time, we had a nice seat where we could enjoy the garden view from the large window.
Simply fluffy! Specially made omelet rice
My recommendation is the omurice. There are three different kinds to choose from for lunch.
First up is the shop's recommended dish, the "Goat Milk Cream Omelette Rice" (1,600 yen).
It is topped with a rich cream sauce made with fresh goat milk from Itoshima Goat Farm.
The inside is filled with refreshing ketchup rice to balance the sauce.
The harmony with the fluffy and soft eggs is irresistible!
It was my first time trying goat milk so I was a bit nervous about ordering it, but it had no peculiar taste and was very delicious.
This is "Omurice with Demi-glace Sauce" (1,600 yen).
This fluffy omelet rice is topped with plenty of homemade demi-glace sauce. It is made over time using fond de veau, so it is rich in flavor and has no off-flavors. It's very delicious.
The other type is "Itoshima Omelette Rice (Organic Ketchup)" (1,600 yen).
This dish is made with organic ketchup that has a rich flavor with little acidity, and simple ingredients such as chicken and mushrooms, which makes it incredibly delicious.
Make some cuts with a knife and your soft and creamy omelet rice is ready!
For an additional 600 yen, you can add a salad and a drink (your choice of coffee, tea, juice, or other soft drinks) to any omelet rice dish.
The photo shows the iced coffee that we ordered as part of a set, and the "Sangria (non-alcoholic)" (600 yen) that we added as a single item.
This is the salad that came with the set. The homemade carrot dressing went perfectly with the crunchy fresh vegetables. On the day I went, it also had strawberries in it!
A full course menu perfect for a little luxury
In addition to casual a la carte dishes such as "Omurice," you can also enjoy authentic French courses (reservations required one day in advance, 3,500-10,000 yen).
Our recommendation is the "Itoshima French Course" (3,500 yen), available only for weekday lunches.
Guests can enjoy an appetizer (seasonal vegetable salad), seasonal soup, bread, today's main dish, special dessert, and an after-meal drink (coffee or tea).
It's perfect as a treat for yourself or for a special occasion.
Be sure to check out the "pudding" and "goat milk" on display at the shop.
There is also a shop at the entrance, with the popular "Goat Milk Pudding" displayed in the display case.
There are three types: "Plain" (490 yen), "Caramel" (530 yen), and "Honey" (550 yen). In the restaurant, you can add it to your meal for an additional 500 yen.
In addition, the limited edition "Goat Milk" (550 yen) is also very popular, with people saying it's "sweet and delicious"!
This freshly squeezed flavor can only be enjoyed from early summer to early winter. Please give it a try.
We also recommend the "feeding experience" at the goat farm.
As soon as you leave the store, you'll come across the free-ranging goats. When you approach them, they're very friendly and will come over to you.
There are "goat snacks" (100 yen each) and you can even feed the goats. It's a great experience for adults as well as small children.
Depending on the season, you might even be able to meet some cute baby goats.
At Itoshima Don Pierre you can enjoy delicious meals and interact with goats.
We recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is often fully booked on weekends and public holidays.
